Manipal Academy of Higher Education has started the slot booking process for MET Phase 2 starting from May 9, 2026. Candidates who have registered for the examination can now book their exam slots via the Online Test Booking System (OTBS). The slot booking window will remain open until May 11, 2026, at 11:50 PM. For those appearing in the examination scheduled on May 23 and 24, 2026, it is essential to complete the slot booking process.

How to Book MET Phase 2 2026 Exam Slots?

Candidates can access the MET OTBS system at cdn.digialm.com/EForms/configuredHtml/32833/98207/login.html. To log in, enter your MAHE Application Number and your OTBS Password, which is your Date of Birth in the format DDMMYYYY. After your first login, you will be required to change your password as per the official instructions.

Once logged in, candidates can select an exam slot from the available options and submit their choice. Slot booking is done on a first-come, first-served basis. Therefore, it is advisable to complete the booking process as early as possible. Once the slot booking is submitted, there will be no option to make any changes to the selected slot.

Important Dates & Schedule

Slot booking for MET Phase 2 will begin on May 9, 2026, and the last date for booking will be May 11, 2026, up until 11:50 PM. The admit card for MET Phase 2 will be available on May 20, 2026, and the exam will be held on May 23, 2026, and May 24, 2026.

There will be two slots for the exam.

  • Slot 1 will be conducted from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, with a reporting time of 8:00 AM.
  • Slot 2 will be from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, with a reporting time of 1:00 PM.

MET OTBS Login Credentials and Passwords

Candidates will need to log in using their application number from MAHE and their OTBS password. The initial password for OTBS will be the candidate’s birth date in DDMMYYYY format. After the first login, candidates will be asked to set a new password according to the official guidelines.

The password created by the candidate must be between 8 and 9 characters long and should include one digit, one uppercase letter, and one special character. However, the special characters <, >, &, %, ", and ' cannot be used.

Steps to check before booking?

Before booking a seat, candidates will want to check their chosen metropolis that they had entered while filling out the MET registration form. All the exam centers can be allocated primarily based on the candidate looking at center options filled inside the form.

Applicants need to test all their choices earlier than booking the places for the reason that there can be no risk of any changes afterwards. The details entered with the help of the candidates in the software form must be correct.

MET Phase 2 Pattern and Duration

MET 2026 will be a PC-primary-based examination and will be performed for 2 hours (one hundred and twenty minutes). There would be no extra time available for students.

A total of 60 questions can be asked in the exam from MCQ and NAT so that it will give a complete 240 marks. Of these, 15 MCQs and 5 NATs could be related to mathematics. Physics will have 10 MCQs and five NATs. Similarly, 10 MCQs and 5 NATs can be asked from chemistry.

Scoring and Organization

In the case of MCQs, candidates may be offered 4 marks for each correct option, but 1 point is deducted for each incorrect reaction.

In the case of NAT, four points are awarded for each correct answer; however, there is no negative point. Awareness of the scoring system could be useful for candidates to devise their approach to viewing.

The MET 2026 Phase 2 admit card is expected to be released on May 20, 2026. Candidates can download their admit card from the OTBS website by entering their hall ticket number and date of birth in DDMMYYYY format.

The admit card will include details such as the candidate's name, application number, group, applied course, category, test date, test timings, and the allocated test center address. Candidates are required to bring their admit card along with a valid identity proof when appearing for the exam.

Examination Centres and Test Center Allocation

The MET 2026 exam is planned to be conducted in over 81 cities across India. The test centers will be assigned based on the preferences provided by candidates during registration.
There will be no changes to the allocated exam center after slot booking.

  •  Slot 1, the reporting time, is 8:00 AM.
  •  Slot 2, the reporting time, is 1:00 PM.

The main entrance of the test center will close at 9:00 AM for Slot 1 and 2:30 PM for Slot 2.

What If Preferred Slots Are Not Available?

If candidates are unable to secure their preferred exam slot, they should select the next available option immediately.

Since slot availability can change rapidly due to high demand, it is advisable for candidates to complete the slot booking as early as possible. Waiting too long for a preferred slot might result in missing the slot booking window.

Preparation Tips for MET 2026 Phase 2

Candidates should practice with official MET mock tests available on manipal.edu to get familiar with the CBT exam interface. They should focus on important topics from physics, chemistry, mathematics, and English.

Regularly solving previous years' question papers and sample papers can enhance their preparation. Students should maintain a consistent study schedule, revise key concepts, and practice time management to complete 60 questions within 120 minutes.
