Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has released the official schedule for the second round of counselling for the academic year 2025. The upcoming Round 2 offers a fresh opportunity for candidates who were not allotted a seat in the first round or are seeking to upgrade their college.

According to the new schedule, the registration and payment window for Round 2 will open on September 4, 2025, and will remain active until September 9, 2025. This will be followed by the crucial choice-filling and locking process, which is set to begin on September 5, 2025, and will also conclude on September 9.

Key Dates for Your Calendar

Here is a quick overview of the essential dates for all aspirants to keep in mind:

• Registration & Payment: September 4 to September 9, 2025

What This Means for Aspirants

The Round 2 counselling is open to a wide range of candidates, including those who did not register in Round 1, those who registered but were not allotted a seat, and those who were allotted a seat in Round 1 but chose to resign from it without forfeiture. Fresh registration and payment are mandatory for new candidates. For all participants, a fresh choice filling is a must.

The delayed start of the academic session, which was initially scheduled for early September, will likely be a concern for many. However, the release of this clear schedule aims to streamline the process and minimize further postponements.

Aspirants are advised to use the time before September 4 to meticulously prepare their list of preferred colleges. Having all necessary documents, including the NEET scorecard and provisional allotment letter, ready will be essential for the reporting and admission process.
