MCC NEET PG Round 3 Results Set for January 29 Release; Massive Cut-off Drop Opens Doors for More Aspirants
As the medical admission cycle for 2025-26 reaches its penultimate phase, postgraduate medical aspirants across India are bracing for a decisive moment. Today, January 28, 2026, serves as the final day of anticipation before the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) officially unveils the Round 3 Seat Allotment results.

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is all set to declare the NEET PG 2025 Round 3 (formerly known as the Mop-up Round) seat allotment results tomorrow, January 29, 2026. Following the conclusion of the registration and choice-filling process on January 26, the committee is currently finalizing the allotment based on the revised merit list and institutional preferences.
This round has gained significant attention due to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare's (MoHFW) decision to drastically reduce the qualifying percentiles, ensuring that almost every candidate who appeared for the exam is now eligible to participate in the counselling process.
NEET PG 2025: Revised Qualifying Cut-offs
The revised cut-offs have brought a massive wave of relief for candidates who previously fell short of the qualifying marks. The new scores are as follows:
| Category | Original Cut-off (Percentile) | Revised Cut-off (Percentile) | Revised Score |
| General/EWS | 50th | 7th | 103 |
| General-PwBD | 45th | 5th | 90 |
| SC/ST/OBC | 40th | 0th | -40 |
Round 3 Admission & Reporting Schedule
Candidates must be prepared for a quick turnaround once the results are published tomorrow. The window for physical reporting is brief, and missing it will lead to forfeiture of the seat.

Key Considerations for Aspirants
- Fresh Seat Matrix: The MCC has added several new seats and deducted a few from the matrix for Round 3. Candidates who filled their choices based on the initial list must check the portal to see how these additions impacted their allotment.
- Mandatory Reporting: Unlike earlier rounds where free exit might have been an option, candidates allotted a seat in Round 3 must report to their college. Failure to join may lead to disqualification from the Stray Vacancy Round and forfeiture of the security deposit.
- Document Preparation: Candidates should keep their original MBBS degree, internship completion certificate (by July 31, 2025), and registration certificates ready for physical verification.
