Reporting Deadlines and Mandatory Procedures

Candidates who received a seat in the Round-3 allotment must adhere to the strict reporting window. Failure to join the allotted colleges by the deadline will result in the forfeiture of the security deposit and may lead to disqualification from the Stray Vacancy round.

  • Reporting Window Ends: 02 February 2026 (5:00 PM).
  • Document Verification: Physical presence is mandatory at the institute.
  • Fee Payment: Tuition fees must be deposited as per the college's specific guidelines.
  • Resignation Policy: No resignation is allowed once a candidate joins the Round-3 seat.

Essential Documents for College Joining

The allotment of a seat is provisional until the physical verification of original documents is completed at the medical colleges. The MCC has provided a checklist that every candidate must carry.

  • NEET PG Scorecard: Original copy of the 2025 result.
  • Allotment Letter: Downloaded from the official MCC portal.
  • Academic Certificates: MBBS degree and all mark sheets.
  • Internship Completion: Certificate issued by the Dean/Head of the Institution.
  • ID Proof: Aadhaar Card or PAN Card for biometric authentication.

Strategic Impact of Round-3 Conclusion

As the counselling for Round-3 wraps up, the MCC is preparing to release the vacancy list for the final Stray Vacancy round. This round will be the last opportunity for students to secure a seat in the current academic year.

  • Seat Saturation: Over 90% of clinical seats in top-tier colleges have already been filled.
  • Upgrade Rules: There is no provision for further upgrades after Round-3.
  • Institutional Roles: Colleges are required to upload the list of joined candidates on the NMC website by early February.
  • Legal Compliance: The process follows the Supreme Court mandates on transparent medical admissions.

Conclusion

The conclusion of the Round-3 reporting marks a significant milestone for the NEET PG 2025 academic session. Students are urged to reach their allotted colleges well before the deadline to avoid any last-minute administrative issues. With the allotment now finalized, the focus shifts to the commencement of the academic curriculum, while those still without a seat must keep a close watch on the MCC website for the remaining Stray Vacancy updates.
