The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced a significant revision to the NEET UG 2025 counselling schedule, extending the deadline for Round 1 registration and choice-filling. Aspirants for the All India Quota (AIQ), deemed, central, and AIIMS seats now have until August 3, 2025, to complete their applications, pay fees, and lock in their college preferences.

This extension, announced via an official notice, comes as a major relief to thousands of students, particularly those who were still in the process of fulfilling all documentation requirements. According to the MCC, the primary reason for the extension was to accommodate a large number of requests from PwBD (Persons with Benchmark Disabilities) candidates who were facing delays in obtaining their certificates from designated disability centers.

Revised Schedule and Key Dates for Aspirants:

With the new deadline, candidates have a final window to complete all necessary steps on the official MCC website, mcc.nic.in. The revised schedule is as follows:

Registration and Fee Payment: The final deadline for fresh registration is 1:00 PM on August 3, and the fee payment window will close at 4:00 PM on the same day.
Choice Filling and Locking: Candidates can fill and modify their choices until 11:55 PM on August 3. The choice locking facility will be available from 6:00 PM to 11:55 PM on that day.
Seat Allotment Result: The seat allotment result for Round 1 will now be declared on August 6, 2025.
Reporting to Allotted Colleges: Candidates who are allotted a seat will be required to report to their respective colleges between August 7 and August 11, 2025.

The MCC has advised all aspirants to use this final opportunity to complete their applications and carefully lock their choices, as no further extensions are expected.
