Symbiosis International University (SIU) has progressed into the critical phase of the MBA admission cycle following the SNAP 2025 results. Leading institutes, including SIBM Pune and SCMHRD, are currently communicating shortlists to successful candidates who met the high percentile benchmarks. Aspirants are actively accessing individual institute portals to book their slots for the Group Exercise and Personal Interaction (GE-PI) rounds scheduled for February. The selection process this year places significant weightage on personality-based evaluation alongside the entrance scores.

The admissionoffices of Symbiosis International (Deemed University) have entered a period of intense activity. Following the declaration of the SNAP 2025 results on January 9, various constituent colleges have begun releasing their individual shortlists for the 2026-28 MBA batch. High-ranking institutes like SIBM Pune and SCMHRD have already updated their portals, allowing candidates to verify their eligibility for the subsequent interaction rounds.

The university has confirmed that the shortlisting process is decentralized, requiring students to check the status of each specific program they applied for during the registration phase. Currently, thousands of aspirants are navigating the online slot booking systems to secure their preferred dates for the Group Exercise (GE) and Personal Interaction (PI) components.

1. Shortlist Release and Cutoff Benchmarks

The colleges under the Symbiosis umbrella have set rigorous benchmarks this year, reflecting the competitive nature of the December entrance tests. The shortlisting is strictly based on the best performance across the three SNAP sessions attempted by the candidates.

  • Top-Tier Requirements: Flagship programs at SIBM Pune are currently shortlisting aspirants within the 98.5+ percentile bracket, while SCMHRD has maintained a cutoff range of approximately 96-97 percentile.
  • Specialized Streams: Mid-tier colleges such as SIIB and SIBM Bengaluru are issuing calls to those in the 90-93 percentile range for their specialized management tracks.
  • Notification Methods: While many institutes are sending emails, students are primarily using their SNAP IDs to log into the "Shortlist Status" tabs on individual university websites to confirm their interaction schedule.

2. GE-PI Scheduling and Selection Weightage

A critical part of the current week is the active window for interview scheduling. The university has streamlined the process to allow for a digital-first interaction experience, ensuring that candidates from across the country can participate seamlessly.

  • Slot Booking: Shortlisted aspirants are currently picking their dates for the February evaluation cycle. These slots are being filled on a first-come, first-served basis across the various colleges.
  • Weightage Structure: The final merit list will be calculated using a 100-mark scale. The SNAP score (scaled to 50) is combined with the Personal interaction (40 marks) and Group Exercise (10 marks).
  • Document Uploads: The portals are now accepting digital copies of academic transcripts and work experience certificates, which must be verified before the start of the GE-PI rounds.

3. Conclusion

The 2026 Symbiosis admission cycle is moving forward with high efficiency. Since the result announcement on January 9, the transition to the interaction phase has been swift, with most major colleges completing their first round of shortlisting today. The emphasis for the coming weeks will remain on the personality-based evaluation of the candidates. As aspirants finalize their schedules, the university administration continues to monitor the digital portals to ensure a fair and transparent selection process. By late March, these efforts will culminate in the release of the first merit lists, identifying the next cohort of management leaders for the SIU colleges.
