MAT September 2026 Result: Date Not Yet Announced, Scorecard Expected in Early October
Published 23 Sept 20262 min read
AIMA (All India Management Association) has not yet announced the official result date for the MAT September 2026 session. Based on the exam body's established pattern of releasing scorecards within 10 to 14 days of the test, candidates can expect the result in the first week of October 2026.
Exam recap: The MAT September 2026 session was conducted in two modes — the Paper Based Test (PBT) on September 13, 2026, and the Computer Based Test (CBT) on September 20, 2026. AIMA does not pre-announce a fixed result date for any MAT session; instead, it notifies candidates individually once the scorecard is live.
Why this matters: MAT scores are accepted by more than 700 MBA and PGDM colleges across India [VERIFY — cross-check exact participating-institute count against AIMA's latest official list, as commonly cited figures range between 600+ and 700+]. Once the result is declared, candidates can begin applying to these institutes for the next admission cycle.

MAT Score vs Percentile 2026 (Expected)
AIMA scores candidates on a composite scale, commonly reported between 200 and 800. The table below gives an expected score-to-percentile mapping based on historical trends:
| MAT Composite Score | MAT Expected Percentile |
|---|---|
| 750–800 | 98–99 |
| 700–750 | 95 |
| 650–700 | 90 |
| 550–600 | 80 |
| 500–550 | 70 |
Note: These are expected/tentative percentile bands based on past sessions, not official AIMA-confirmed figures for the September 2026 session.
What Happens After the MAT Result?
Once AIMA releases the scorecard, it forwards results to the colleges candidates selected during registration. Institutes then shortlist candidates for further selection rounds — typically Group Discussion (GD), Personal Interview (PI), or Written Ability Test (WAT), depending on each college's own process. MAT scores remain valid for one year from the date of result declaration.
