MAT September 2026 CBT Registration Closes; Admit Card Due September 17, Exam on September 20

The registration window for the Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode of the Management Aptitude Test (MAT) September 2026 session has closed. The All India Management Association (AIMA), which conducts MAT, stopped accepting fresh applications after September 14, 2026, the deadline set for this mode.

Candidates who completed their MAT CBT registration in time do not need to take any further action until the admit card is issued. AIMA has not announced any extended or late registration facility for this cycle, so candidates who missed the window will need to look toward the next session, expected in December 2026.

MAT Exam Pattern

MAT is a 120-minute test with 150 multiple-choice questions divided equally across five sections of 30 questions each:

• Language Comprehension
• Intelligence and Critical Reasoning
• Data Analysis and Sufficiency
• Mathematical Skills
• Economic and Business Environment

There is no sectional time limit, so candidates can move between sections freely within the two-hour window. Each correct answer earns one mark, and each incorrect answer carries a penalty of 0.25 marks.
