MAT Result 2026 for September Session: Scorecard Date, Download Steps and Next Steps

The All India Management Association (AIMA) has not announced an official date for the MAT September 2026 result. Scorecards usually appear in the candidate dashboard at mat. aima.in about two weeks after the exam. The September session was held on 13 September (PBT) and 20 September 2026 (CBT). AIMA will notify candidates by email once scorecards are available.

When Will the MAT Result Be Released?

AIMA does not announce result dates in advance. It usually uploads scorecards to the candidate dashboard within about two weeks of the exam. Counting two weeks from each exam date gives roughly 27 September for the PBT and 4 October for the CBT. This is an estimate from past patterns, not an official schedule.

Scorecards for the February and May 2026 sessions are already available in the dashboard.

How to Download the MAT Scorecard

AIMA sends an email when scorecards go live. The email only announces availability. It does not contain the scores.

1. Go to the official AIMA MAT website, mat.aima.in.
2. Click the candidate login option.
3. Enter your registered login details (see the note below).
4. Open the PBT/CBT scorecard option in the dashboard.
5. Select the exam month (February, May, September or December).
6. View the scorecard and download the PDF.

What the MAT Scorecard Shows

• Candidate name, roll number and date of birth

Candidates who have taken MAT more than once can use their best score for admission.

MAT Score Validity

A September 2026 MAT score can be used for admission to score-accepting colleges for the 2027 academic session. The source also says MAT scores remain valid for one year [VERIFY exact validity rule].

What Happens After the Result

AIMA sends scores to the colleges candidates chose in the MAT application form. Those colleges then shortlist candidates for further rounds, typically Group Discussion (GD), Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI). Candidates who want to apply to other colleges must apply to them separately.

MAT is accepted by over 700 MBA/PGDM institutes in India [VERIFY count], including private and government Tier 2 and Tier 3 colleges.

MAT Cutoffs

MAT has no single national cutoff. Each college sets its own. Indicative ranges from the source (not official):

• Top MBA colleges: about 90–95 percentile
• Tier 2 colleges: about 80–90 percentile
• Tier 3 colleges: about 50–70 percentile

Cutoffs depend on four factors: exam difficulty, number of applicants, seat capacity and the previous year's cutoffs.
