The road to an MBA from a top-tier institution has just opened! The Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM), Pune, has officially started the application process for its flagship MBA and MBA (Innovation & Entrepreneurship) programs for the 2026-28 batch. This is a crucial time for all aspiring management students to kickstart their admission journey.
SIBM Pune's admission is a two-step process, demanding registration for both the national-level Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP) and the individual institute's application. Missing either deadline can halt your dream of studying at one of India's most prestigious B-schools.
Key Dates for Your Calendar
Management aspirants must align their preparation with the following important deadlines for the SNAP 2025 exam and the SIBM Pune application:
| Event | Date |
|---|---|
| SNAP 2025 Registration Closes | November 20, 2025 (Thursday) |
| SNAP 2025 Exam Dates | December 6, 14, and 20, 2025 (Three attempts allowed) |
| SNAP 2025 Result Declaration | January 9, 2026 (Friday) |
| SIBM Pune Last Date to Apply (MBA/MBA I&E) | December 5, 2025 |
| Declaration of GEPI Shortlist | January 19, 2026 (4 PM) |
| GEPI Process (Group Exercise & Personal Interview) | Phase I: Feb 4 to Feb 8, 2026; Phase II: Feb 11 to Feb 15, 2026 |
Note: The official SNAP exam registration (which is mandatory) must be completed by November 20, 2025, and the separate SIBM Pune program application must be done by December 5, 2025.
Eligibility and Selection Process
To be eligible for the full-time MBA program, candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree from a recognised University with a minimum of 50% marks (or equivalent grade). A relaxation of 5% is provided for Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) candidates (i.e., 45% minimum). Students in their final year of graduation are also eligible to apply, but their admission will be conditional upon securing the minimum required marks upon completion.
The selection process is rigorous and comprises two key stages:
- SNAP Score (50% Weightage): Candidates are first shortlisted based on their SNAP percentile. A score in the range of 97-99 percentile is generally considered competitive for SIBM Pune. Since the SNAP exam allows three attempts, the best score is considered for the shortlist.
- Group Exercise and Personal Interaction (GE-PI) (50% Weightage): Shortlisted candidates will be invited for the final admission process, which includes a Group Exercise (GE) and a Personal Interview (PI). This stage evaluates the candidate's communication skills, analytical thinking, general awareness, and overall suitability for a career in management.
How to Apply: A Two-Step Registration
Aspirants need to ensure a two-fold registration:
- SNAP Registration: Visit the official SNAP website, register, and pay the SNAP exam fee (₹2,250 per attempt, as per previous cycles).
- SIBM Pune Application: While registering for SNAP, candidates must also select and apply separately to SIBM Pune (and any other desired Symbiosis Institutes) by paying an additional, non-refundable program application fee (expected to be around ₹1000/- for SIBM Pune).
This is your shot at a career-defining qualification. Aspirants are advised to meticulously prepare for the SNAP exam and keep a close watch on the official websites for any updates. Only Education wishes you the best in your pursuit of a top MBA seat!
