Today, July 31, 2025, marks a critical juncture for thousands of medical and allied health aspirants in Maharashtra. The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra (CET Cell) has set this date as the absolute final deadline for paying the registration fee for Maharashtra NEET UG 2025 Counselling for State Quota admissions.

This counselling process is crucial for securing seats in various undergraduate health science courses, including MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BUMS, BPTh, BOTh, BASLP, and B.Sc. Nursing, across government, government-aided, municipal, and private colleges in Maharashtra under the 85% State Quota.

Urgent Deadline Today – Act Before 11:59 AM!

Candidates who have completed their online registration for Maharashtra NEET UG Counselling 2025 must ensure that their registration fee payment is successfully processed by 11:59 AM (server time) on July 31, 2025.

Importance of Fee Payment: Aspirants must understand that completing the online registration alone is not sufficient. A candidate is only considered "registered" for the counselling process after the successful payment of the non-refundable registration fee. Failure to pay the fee by today's deadline will render the application incomplete, and the candidate will not be included in the provisional merit list or considered for subsequent counselling rounds.

The registration fee varies based on the candidate's category: typically INR 1,000 for General/Open categories and INR 500 for Reserved categories. For NRI/OCI/FN candidates or those applying under Institutional Quota for private colleges, the fees might be higher. Payments are accepted exclusively through the online payment gateway on the CET Cell's official portal.

What Happens Next in Maharashtra NEET UG Counselling:

Upon the closure of the fee payment window, the CET Cell will proceed with the next vital stages:

  • Document Upload Deadline: Candidates have until August 1, 2025 (11:59 AM) to upload scanned copies of all original requisite documents as per the prescribed list on the portal. This is a critical step for verification.
  • Publication of Registered Candidate List & Provisional Merit List: The list of registered candidates and the provisional merit list for MBBS/BDS courses are expected to be released on August 2, 2025. A separate seat matrix for MBBS/BDS will also be published on the same day.
  • Online Preference (Choice) Filling: For MBBS/BDS, this process is scheduled from August 3 to August 5, 2025 (up to 6:00 PM). Candidates will need to fill their preferred colleges and courses in order of priority.
  • Declaration of CAP Round 1 Selection List: The first selection list for MBBS/BDS is anticipated on August 7, 2025.
  • Physical Joining & Document Verification: Candidates allotted seats will then need to physically report to their respective colleges with all original documents and requisite fees for admission from August 8 to August 12, 2025.

Documents to Keep Ready (for Upload and Physical Reporting):

Candidates must ensure they have a scanned, colored copy of all necessary documents for upload, and original documents for physical verification at the time of reporting. Key documents typically include:

  • NEET UG 2025 Marksheet & Admit Card
  • Nationality Certificate/Indian Passport
  • Domicile Certificate of Maharashtra
  • Class 10th & 12th Mark Sheets & Passing Certificates
  • Medical Fitness Certificate
  • Caste Certificate, Caste Validity Certificate (if applicable)
  • Non-Creamy Layer Certificate (for OBC/NT, if applicable, issued after April 1, 2025)
  • EWS Certificate (if applicable, issued after April 1, 2025)
  • Persons with Disability (PwD) Certificate (if applicable)
  • Aadhaar Card
  • Online Application Form (filled and printed)
  • Payment Receipt of Registration Fee

Aspirants are strongly urged to regularly check the official website of the Maharashtra CET Cell, www.cetcell.mahacet.org, for the latest updates, detailed schedules, and official notices to avoid missing any crucial steps in the admission process.
