Maharashtra NEET 2025: Round 1 AYUSH Merit List Released; Choice Filling Begins

The Maharashtra CET Cell has published the Provisional Merit List for Round 1 of NEET UG 2025 AYUSH counselling. With over 61,000 candidates on the list, the crucial choice-filling process has officially started and will continue until September 10.

The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell has released the much-anticipated Provisional Merit List for Round 1 of the Maharashtra NEET UG 2025 AYUSH counselling. The list, published on the official website cetcell.mahacet.org, includes the names of all eligible candidates who registered for admissions to Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS), Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS), and Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery (BUMS) courses.

According to the official data, a total of 61,043 candidates have been included in the merit list, making them eligible to participate in the upcoming choice-filling process. This stage is a critical step where aspirants will select and prioritize their preferred colleges and courses based on their merit rank.

Important Dates and Next Steps

The publication of the merit list marks the beginning of the next phase of counselling, which requires candidates to act swiftly. The schedule for the key upcoming events is as follows:

  • Choice Filling and Locking: The online choice-filling process has commenced today, September 8, 2025, and will conclude on September 10, 2025, at 6:00 PM. Aspirants must submit their choices and lock them before the deadline.
  • Seat Allotment Result: The result for the first round of seat allocation is scheduled to be declared on September 12, 2025.
  • Physical Reporting: Candidates who are allotted a seat in Round 1 will be required to physically report to their respective colleges between September 13 and September 17, 2025.

The official seat matrix, which details the number of seats available in each college, has also been released. Maharashtra has a large number of BAMS and BHMS colleges, with approximately 1439 BAMS government seats and 4210 BAMS private seats. This information is crucial for aspirants as they decide on their college preferences.
