The State Common Entrance Test Cell (CET Cell), Maharashtra, has announced the Maharashtra 3-Year LLB Centralised Admission Process (CAP) 2026 Round 1 seat allotment result. Candidates can check their allotment on the official Maharashtra Law Admission website: llb3cap26.mahacet.org. The Round 1 allotment result was declared on August 19, 2026. 

Key Details of Round 1 Allotment

The Round 1 allotment covers all reserved and unreserved categories for the 3-year LLB programme in Maharashtra. Candidates who locked their preferences in the option form window that closed on August 16 are eligible for allotment.

Maharashtra 3-Year LLB CAP 2026 Round 1: Important Dates

  • Round 1 Allotment Result: August 19, 2026
  • Seat Acceptance and Institute Reporting: August 20 to August 22, 2026
  • Institute Admission List Upload: By August 23, 2026

Candidates allotted seats in Round 1 must accept their allotment, pay the seat acceptance fee and report to the allotted institute within the specified deadline.

Freeze or Betterment: What Candidates Need to Know

  • Candidates allotted a seat must select one of the following two options:
  • Freeze: Candidates accept the allotted seat and exit the CAP process.
  • Betterment: Candidates accept the current allotment while continuing in the CAP process to seek a better preference in the next round.

Important: Auto-Freeze Discontinued

The auto-freeze facility has been discontinued for the 2026-27 academic year by the CET Cell. Therefore, candidates must log in to the CAP portal and select either Freeze or Betterment. If a candidate does not select an option, they will be considered a Betterment candidate.

How to Check Maharashtra 3-Year LLB CAP 2026 Round 1 Allotment Result?

Candidates can follow these steps to check their allotment:

  1. Visit the official website: llb3cap26.mahacet.org.
  2. Click on Candidate Login on the homepage.
  3. Enter the application number and password.
  4. Log in to the candidate dashboard.
  5. Open the Maharashtra 3-Year LLB CAP 2026 Seat Allotment link.
  6. Check the allotted seat and download the allotment letter.
  7. Save a copy of the allotment letter for the admission and reporting process.

How to Accept the Allotted Seat?

Candidates can complete the seat acceptance process online, while reporting to the allotted institute must be done offline.

  1. Log in to the Maharashtra 3-Year LLB CAP portal.
  2. Open the allotment letter.
  3. Select either Freeze or Betterment.
  4. Pay the ₹1,000 seat acceptance fee through the online payment gateway.
  5. Download the seat acceptance fee receipt.
  6. Download the self-filled admission form.
  7. Carry the required documents and report to the allotted institute between August 20 and August 22, 2026.

  • Round 1 allotment letter
  • Seat acceptance fee receipt
  • MH CET Law 2026 scorecard
  • MH CET Law 2026 admit card
  • SSC mark sheet and passing certificate
  • HSC mark sheet and passing certificate
  • Graduation mark sheets and degree certificate
  • Domicile certificate, wherever applicable
  • Caste certificate, wherever applicable
  • Non-Creamy Layer certificate or EWS certificate, wherever applicable
  • Aadhaar card
  • Two recent passport-size photographs
  • Two sets of photocopies of the required documents

  • Choose an option: Select Freeze or Betterment according to your preference.

  • Download documents: Save the fee receipt and self-filled admission form.
  • Prepare documents: Keep all original certificates and two sets of photocopies ready.
  • Report to the institute: Complete reporting at the allotted institute by August 22, 2026.
