- Candidates allotted a seat must select one of the following two options:
- Freeze: Candidates accept the allotted seat and exit the CAP process.
- Betterment: Candidates accept the current allotment while continuing in the CAP process to seek a better preference in the next round.
Important: Auto-Freeze Discontinued
The auto-freeze facility has been discontinued for the 2026-27 academic year by the CET Cell. Therefore, candidates must log in to the CAP portal and select either Freeze or Betterment. If a candidate does not select an option, they will be considered a Betterment candidate.
