Thousands of MBA/MMS aspirants who participated in the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MAH CET) 2025 Centralised Admission Process (CAP) for Round 1 are now on high alert, as the provisional seat allotment results are expected to be declared soon. According to the official schedule released by the Maharashtra State CET Cell, the highly anticipated results for CAP Round 1 are slated for July 31, 2025.

The choice filling and confirmation of option forms for CAP Round 1 concluded yesterday, July 28, 2025, marking the end of a crucial phase where candidates locked in their preferences for admission to MBA/MMS programs across over 300 government, government-aided, university-managed, and private unaided management institutes in Maharashtra.

Checking the Provisional Allotment:

Once released, candidates will be able to check their provisional seat allotment status by logging into their applicant profiles on the official MAH MBA CET CAP portal: cetcell.mahacet.org or mba2025.mahacet.org.in. They will need their Application ID and password to access the allotment letter. The allotment will be determined by a combination of the candidate's MAH MBA CET 2025 merit rank, the preferences submitted in the option form, and the availability of seats under their respective categories.

Crucial Steps Post-Allotment:

Receiving a provisional seat allotment is a significant milestone, but candidates must meticulously follow the subsequent steps within the prescribed timelines to secure their admission:

Acceptance of Offered Seat (August 1 – August 3, 2025, up to 3 PM):

  • Freeze Option: If a candidate is fully satisfied with the allotted seat and does not wish to be considered for betterment in subsequent rounds, they must accept the seat online through their login and select the "Freeze" option.
  • Float Option: If a candidate accepts the allotted seat but wishes to explore possibilities for a higher preferred choice in subsequent rounds, they can choose the "Float" option.

Seat Acceptance Fee: Irrespective of choosing "Freeze" or "Float," candidates are typically required to pay a non-refundable seat acceptance fee online within this specified window.

Reporting to Allotted Institute & Confirmation of Admission (August 1 – August 3, 2025, up to 5 PM):

  • For "Freeze" Candidates: After accepting the seat and paying the fee online, these candidates must physically report to their respective allotted colleges within this period. This involves submitting all required original documents for verification and completing admission formalities, including the payment of the remaining college fees. Failure to report will lead to the cancellation of the allotted seat.
  • For "Float" Candidates: These candidates also need to complete the online seat acceptance and pay the fee. However, they are not required to report to the allotted institute at this stage unless specifically instructed. Their current allotted seat is secured, and they will be considered for upward movement in later rounds.

Road Ahead for MBA/MMS Admissions:

The MAH MBA CET CAP 2025 is structured into multiple rounds to fill all available seats. Following Round 1, the CET Cell will display provisional vacant seats for CAP Round 2 on August 4, 2025. Subsequent rounds will proceed with their own registration, choice filling, allotment, and reporting schedules.

Aspirants are strongly advised to keep all original academic and reservation documents ready and to stay continuously updated by regularly checking the official MAH CET Cell website for the latest announcements and detailed instructions to avoid missing any critical deadlines.
