The counselling process is one of the most important stages for students seeking admission to management and engineering colleges across Maharashtra. Along with opening the registration window, the CET Cell has also announced the complete schedule for document verification, merit list publication, grievance submission, and the release of the final merit list.
The registration window is open from July 2 to July 12, 2026, and candidates are advised to complete all formalities well before the deadline to avoid last-minute technical issues.

Who Can Participate?
For MBA/MMS Admissions
Candidates who have appeared for MAH MBA CET 2026 are eligible to participate in the counselling process.
In addition, candidates with valid scores in the following national-level entrance exams can also apply under the All India Category:
- CAT
- XAT
- CMAT
- MAT
- ATMA
Students who appeared for both sessions of the MAH MBA CET 2026 examination will be considered based on their best score, giving them a better opportunity during seat allotment.
For BE/BTech Admissions
Candidates who qualified the MHT CET 2026 examination and meet the eligibility criteria can register for engineering admissions through CAP 2026.
Eligible candidates from outside Maharashtra can also participate under the applicable candidature category.
How to Register for MAH CET CAP 2026
The registration process is completely online. Candidates can follow these steps:
- Visit the official CET Cell counselling portal.
- Select the relevant course (MBA/MMS or BE/BTech).
- Log in using your registered credentials.
- Fill in your personal, academic, and entrance exam details.
- Upload all the required documents.
- Submit the application and save the confirmation receipt.

What Happens After Registration?
Once the registration and verification process is completed, the CET Cell will publish the provisional merit list on July 15.
Candidates who notice any discrepancy in their details can submit grievances between July 16 and July 18. After resolving all objections, the final merit list will be released on July 20, 2026.
Based on this merit list, candidates will participate in the CAP rounds, where they can fill in their preferred colleges and courses. Seat allotment will be conducted in multiple rounds, followed by seat acceptance and reporting to the allotted institute.
