The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra, continues the MAH MBA CET 2026 registration process. Eligible graduates and final-year students must complete their online application via the official mahacet.org portal before the February deadline. Ensure all documents and CET fees are processed to secure a seat in top Maharashtra management institutes for the 2026-27 session.

Currently applications are invited for the MAH MBA CET 2026, the gateway to management programs in the state. Since the portal opened in mid-January, a steady stream of applicants has been finalizing their profiles. To maintain eligibility, candidates must possess a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% for reserved categories and PwD candidates belonging to Maharashtra state only).

  • Mandatory Registration: All applicants must create a unique profile on the official CET portal using a valid email and mobile number.
  • Document Uploads: Scanned copies of photographs, signatures, and valid photo ID proofs are required to complete the digital application.
  • Final-Year Students: Those appearing for their final year degree examinations in 2026 are also encouraged to apply, provided they meet the criteria by the time of admission.
  • Non-Maharashtra Candidates: Students from outside the state (OMS category) are eligible to apply, though seat allotments follow specific CAP round quotas

Application Fee Structure and Exam Highlights

The application fee for the MAH MBA CET 2026 remains unchanged from the previous cycle to ensure accessibility for all applicants. The official notification specifies that the payment must be made exclusively through online channels such as Credit/Debit cards, Net Banking, or UPI. The examination is expected to be conducted in a multi-session format to accommodate the high volume of candidates across Maharashtra.

Category of CandidateApplication Fee (INR)Mode of Payment
Open Category (Maharashtra & OMS)₹1,000Online Only
Reserved Categories (SC, ST, VJ/DT- NT(A), NT(B))₹800Online Only

The computer-based examination will consist of 200 multiple-choice questions covering Logical Reasoning, Abstract Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, and Verbal Ability/Reading Comprehension. Notably, there is no negative marking, which remains a key highlight for students preparing for the 2026 session. Detailed syllabus and marking scheme documents are available for download on the State CET Cell website.

Conclusion

As the February deadline approaches, the State CET Cell advises all applicants to avoid last-minute technical glitches by completing the application and fee payment well in advance. The MAH MBA CET 2026 is the primary route for admission to prestigious institutions like JBIMS, SIMSREE, and PUMBA. Once the registration window closes, the focus will shift toward the release of admit cards and the announcement of specific center allocations across Maharashtra. Candidates should regularly monitor the [suspicious link removed] for updates regarding potential extension of dates or the commencement of the correction window.
