MAH MBA CET 2026 Registration Open
The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra, has officially opened the registration window for the MAH MBA CET 2026.Prospective management students can now submit their applications online through the official portal to secure eligibility for admissions into MBA and MMS programs for the 2026-27 academic session A significant update for this year includes the provision of two separate examination attempts, allowing candidates to improve their scores in April and May. Applicants must ensure they possess the mandatory Aadhaar and APAAR IDs to complete the digital enrollment process successfully.

The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra, continues to accept online applications for the MAH MBA CET 2026. The registration portal, which went live earlier this month, is currently the primary gateway for students seeking admission to over 300 management institutes across the state. The current window is scheduled to remain operational until February 12, 2026, providing ample time for eligible candidates to finalize their profiles.

A noteworthy feature of the 2026 cycle is the introduction of a dual-attempt format. This structural change allows for a more flexible testing experience, as the higher of the two scores will be considered for the final Centralized Admission Process (CAP).

1. New Mandatory Identification and Digital Protocols

For the 2026 enrollment year, the Maharashtra CET Cell has implemented a more integrated verification system. The registration process now requires specific digital identifiers that were not mandatory in previous years.

  • APAAR ID Requirement: Every candidate must generate and provide an Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry (APAAR) ID through DigiLocker to proceed with the application.
  • Aadhaar Authentication: Real-time Aadhaar-based verification is being utilized to ensure data accuracy and prevent identity mismatches during the examination phase.
  • Document Digitization: All academic transcripts and category-related certificates must be scanned and uploaded directly to the portal for preliminary verification by the institutes.

2. Dual-Attempt Schedule and Examination Pattern

The 2026 cycle has been designed to offer students two distinct opportunities to appear for the entrance test. This approach is aimed at reducing student stress and providing a second chance to those who may face technical or personal hurdles during the first session.

  • Testing Windows: The first session is scheduled to take place between April 6 and April 8, 2026, while the newly introduced second attempt will be held on May 9, 2026.
  • Score Normalization: Since the examination is conducted across multiple slots and dates, a percentile-based normalization process will be applied to ensure fairness across all shifts.
  • Question Bank Structure: The test remains a 200-mark assessment with no negative marking, covering Logical Reasoning, Abstract Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, and Verbal Ability.

3. Conclusion

The administration of the MAH MBA CET 2026 is currently focused on the smooth collection of candidate data through the online registration portal. As the February 12 deadline approaches, the State CET Cell has maintained the digital infrastructure to support a high volume of concurrent users. The 2026 cycle represents a major shift toward a more student-centric model by offering two attempts at the examination. Once the current application phase concludes, the focus will transition toward the issuance of admit cards and the logistical preparation of test centers across Maharashtra’s major institutes.
