The state of Madhya Pradesh has its own Directorate of Technical Education (DTE). The Directorate has started the counselling process in the online mode for diploma admission 2026-27 session. Any eligible candidate can register online at dte.mponline.gov.in from May 4 to May 29, 2026. The counselling covers government programs, autonomous programs, grant-aided programs, private polytechnic institutions, and diploma architecture programs.
The counseling will be conducted in two phases where all the allocation will be merit based. Institution-level counselling will follow after remaining vacant seats. The entire process is conducted online for transparency and convenience. Since loads of paper leaks have happened in the last year, the state or central government don’t want any kind of gaps in the counselling process.

Institution-level counselling for remaining vacant seats will be held from July 6 to August 12, 2026, with counselling sessions conducted every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10:30 AM to 6:30 PM. The final round for remaining vacant seats will take place on August 13 and 14, 2026, with registration on August 13 closing at 12:30 PM and counselling on August 14 scheduled from 10:30 AM to 6:30 PM.
Candidates can register by visiting dte.mponline.gov.in . Candidates can click on the Counselling section, fill their personal and academic credentials, upload the required documents, select their preferred institutions and diploma programs, and finally lock their choices before the deadline.
All candidates should keep their registration number and password safe for future use. They are also advised to carefully read the detailed counselling rules and guidelines available on the official website, carry original documents for verification at the allotted institution, and report within the specified timeline for admission confirmation.
Seat allocation to the candidates will be done strictly on a merit basis according to the choices filled, and no cancellation will be allowed after choice locking.
