In a major announcement for thousands of medical aspirants in the state, the Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Madhya Pradesh, has released a revised schedule for the NEET UG 2025 counselling. This update impacts the admission process for MBBS and BDS courses in medical colleges across the state. The most critical change is the reopening of fresh registrations for Round 1, which will now be accepted until today, August 11, 2025, at 11:59 PM. This move aims to accommodate students who might have missed the initial registration window or faced technical issues.

The rescheduling of the MP NEET UG counselling is a direct result of the recent changes made to the All India Quota (AIQ) counselling timeline by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). State counselling bodies, like the DME in Madhya Pradesh, often align their schedules with the central counselling to prevent any clashes and ensure a seamless admission process for aspiring students. For those who have their sights set on a medical career in Madhya Pradesh, this is a crucial opportunity to register and be a part of the counselling process. The NEET UG exam score is the sole criterion for admission, and a timely registration is the first step toward securing a coveted seat. Revised Schedule and Key Dates for MP NEET UG 2025 Counselling

The revised schedule provides a clear roadmap for the upcoming stages of the MP NEET UG counselling. All registered candidates, both new and old, must be aware of these new dates.

  • Fresh Registration & Profile Editing: The window for fresh registrations for eligible NEET UG 2025 candidates, along with the facility to edit profiles for already registered candidates, is active until today, August 11, 2025, at 11:59 PM. Students who have not yet registered must do so on the official DME portal to be considered for the counselling.
  • Publication of Revised State Merit List: A revised state merit list of all registered candidates will be published on August 12, 2025. This list will include all candidates who have successfully registered or edited their profiles by the deadline.
  • Choice Filling and Locking: The choice filling and locking process for fresh registered candidates will take place from August 13 to August 15, 2025. This is a vital stage where candidates will submit their preferences for medical courses and colleges.
  • Allotment Result and Reporting: The Round 1 seat allotment result is now scheduled to be released on August 18, 2025. Candidates who are allotted a seat will have to report to their respective medical college for document verification and admission between August 19 and August 23, 2025.

Crucial Steps for Medical Aspirants

To ensure a successful counselling experience, medical aspirants are advised to follow these steps carefully:

  • Complete Registration: This is the last chance for fresh candidates to register. Visit the official DME website, dme.mponline.gov.in, to create a profile and complete the registration. Ensure all details, including your NEET UG 2025 roll number, are correct.
  • Review Your Preferences: All candidates, whether new or old, should use the extended choice filling window to carefully review and re-arrange their preferences. A well-thought-out list of colleges can significantly impact your allotment.
  • Prepare Your Documents: While the choice filling is crucial, preparing all necessary documents in advance is equally important. Ensure you have your NEET UG admit card and scorecard, domicile certificate, category certificates, and all academic records ready for the physical reporting and document verification stage.
