  • The application form for the 3-year LLB program is tentatively scheduled to open in the last week of December 2025.
  • The 5-year LLB (Integrated) registration window is expected to follow in the first week of January 2026.
  • The 3-year LLB entrance exam is slated for April 1 and April 2, 2026, while the 5-year LLB exam is fixed for May 8, 2026.

Eligibility and Updated Exam Pattern

Understanding the qualification requirements is mandatory before filling out the form. For the 2026 cycle, the CET Cell continues with the revised exam structure introduced recently to align with national standards.

  • For the 5-year LLB, candidates must have passed Class 12 with 45% (General) or 40% (SC/ST).
  • For the 3-year LLB, a graduation degree in any discipline is required with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks.
  • The exam pattern now consists of 120 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) instead of 150, with no negative marking.
  • Core subjects include Legal Aptitude, General Knowledge, Logical Reasoning, and English, with Basic Mathematics added specifically for the 5-year program.

Action Plan for State Law Aspirants

With the CLAT and AILET 2026 cycles concluded in early December 2025, the focus now shifts entirely to state-level CETs. Aspirants must prepare for the Centralised Admission Process (CAP), which relies heavily on accurate documentation.

  • Ensure your Aadhaar Authentication and APAAR ID generation are completed, as these are now mandatory for registration.
  • Keep digital copies of your category certificates (Caste, EWS, or PwD) ready, as late submissions often lead to disqualification from reserved seats.
  • Monitor the official CET portal daily for the specific "live" link of the application form to avoid the last-minute server rush.

In conclusion, the 2026 law entrance season is entering its most active phase for state universities. Success depends not only on your test scores but also on administrative diligence. Aspirants should immediately verify their eligibility documents and bookmark the official CET Cell website to track the live application link.
