Kerala NEET PG Counselling 2025: Mop-Up Round Schedule Expected Soon by CEE

The postgraduate medical admission process in Kerala is entering its final stages, with a crucial announcement expected soon. The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala, is set to release the official schedule for the NEET PG 2025 Mop-Up Round. This round, which follows the conclusion of the first two main counselling rounds, offers a pivotal last chance for aspirants to secure a seat in MD/MS courses in the state's medical and dental colleges.

The Mop-Up Round is designed to fill the vacant seats that remain after the completion of the first and second rounds of counselling. It is particularly important for candidates who did not get an allotment in the previous rounds, or those who were not satisfied with their allotted seat and are looking for a better option. The number of available seats in this round often includes those from candidates who did not join their allotted colleges.

Eligibility and What to Expect

The Mop-Up Round is open to a specific set of candidates. While the full list of eligible participants will be outlined in the official notification, it typically includes:

• Candidates who were registered in previous rounds but did not get a seat.
• Candidates who opted for a "free exit" in the first round.
• New candidates who are eligible but did not register in the previous rounds.

It is crucial for all eligible aspirants to participate in this round if they are serious about securing a postgraduate medical seat this year. The CEE will likely release an updated seat matrix before the start of the process, which will give a clear picture of the available seats across various government and self-financing medical colleges.

Aspirants must keep all their documents ready, including their NEET PG 2025 scorecard, MBBS degree, internship completion certificate, and state medical council registration. They should also be aware of the state's bond policy, as a service bond may be required at the time of admission.

The online registration and fresh choice filling for the Mop-Up Round are expected to commence shortly after the official announcement. This phase will be followed by the final seat allotment and reporting to the respective colleges.
