The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has announced a significant update for all KCET 2025 engineering aspirants participating in Round 2 counselling. In a move to provide students with more time to complete crucial formalities, the deadlines for fee payment and physical reporting have been extended. This provides a final window of opportunity for candidates to secure their allotted seats.

Revised Deadlines You Must Not Miss

For students who have been provisionally allotted a seat and have exercised either Choice 1 (Accept and Freeze) or Choice 2 (Accept and Float), the last date to complete the online fee payment has been extended to September 3, 2025.

Similarly, candidates who have selected Choice 3 (Accept and Wait for Upgradation) must also pay the mandatory caution deposit of INR 10,000 by the same date. All payments must be completed through the official KEA portal at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in.

Final Reporting Day: September 4, 2025

The most critical extension is for the physical reporting to the allotted colleges. The last date for candidates who have completed all their online formalities to report to their respective colleges is now September 4, 2025.

• Choice 1 Candidates: You must download your seat confirmation slip by 5:30 PM on September 4, 2025. After that, you must report to your college with all your original documents, two sets of photocopies, and a mobile device for verification. The final reporting deadline is 6:30 PM on September 4, 2025.

Failing to meet these new deadlines will result in the cancellation of your allotted seat. Students are strongly advised to act swiftly and not wait until the last minute.
