A new announcement for KCET 2026 has been issued by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA). Updated KCET merit positions are expected to be issued shortly. This update applies to students whose Class 12 results were altered following a rechecking process by their board. This update was posted on the official website, cetonline.karnataka.gov.in. It announces a brief period for in-person submission of revised mark sheets. The reason behind this is the CBSE Class 12 digital evaluation review. After that process, revised results were given to more than 1.6 lakh candidates. Reassessment by CISCE and the state boards has likewise led to newly issued mark sheets.

How KCET Ranks Are Calculated

A KEA-determined weighted method is used to compute the final KCET standing. Half of the overall total comes from the entrance exam performance. The remaining half is based on Class 12 PCM scores. Before use, board results are first converted to a normalised percentage. That figure is then combined by averaging it with the KCET scaled score. The resulting total determines the merit order in the ranking list.

Who Should Submit the Revised Marksheet?

This instruction targets applicants whose marks were modified after revaluation. Only those who now possess a newly issued, board-certified mark sheet are required to appear at KEA. Students with unchanged original marks do not need to take any step. Candidates from CISCE and state boards who received updated scores are also required to follow this instruction. It applies when changes occur in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Biology marks. Updates in language subjects do not directly change the rank.

How Will KEA Verify the Revised Marks?

KEA will validate every submission by checking the candidate’s DigiLocker profile. Only results obtained via DigiLocker will be accepted as genuine. Once this check is finished, the rank card will be computed again.

What If a Candidate Misses the Submission Window?

So far, KEA has not announced that the deadline will be extended. Anyone who fails to submit within the period will keep the rank that was previously published. The updated board scores will not be considered during counselling. Candidates can submit a written complaint at the KEA office. Still, the counselling schedule provides very limited opportunity to incorporate late changes.

How to Submit the Revised Class 12 Marksheet?

Students should begin by obtaining the updated mark sheet from the relevant board office. The revised marks must also appear in the connected DigiLocker account. After these are in place, the document can be shown at the KEA counter. Candidates are advised to bring both the original document and a photocopy of the mark sheet. A KEA official will verify it against the DigiLocker record. A submission receipt will be provided immediately.

  • One photocopy of the updated mark sheet for KEA files
  • Printouts of the KCET 2026 admit card and rank card

Action Plan for Candidates

  2. Check that the revised marks are visible in your DigiLocker account.
  3. Prepare the original mark sheet along with one photocopy for KEA.
  4. Go to the KEA office in Malleswaram during the given submission window.
