KCET 2026 Result Expected by May 28 or 29; Counselling to Begin in June

Dr. M.C. Sudhakar, the higher education minister, said that the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) will release the KCET 2026 results on either May 28 or May 29, 2026. However, it's also possible that the results might come out earlier, maybe on May 26, 2026. There is an expected delay of one to two days in announcing the results because of a re-examination held in Hiriyur on May 24, 2026. This re-examination was done because malpractice was suspected in that exam center. The KEA officials are working quickly to process the exam data after the re-examination.

KCET 2026 Important Dates

Steps to Download the KCET 2026 Scorecard after its Release?

• Candidates should visit the official website of the Karnataka Examination Authority, which is cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea or kea.kar.nic.in.
• Once the results are released, they can download their KCET 2026 scorecard by using their application number and the first four letters of their name.
•  Candidates should make sure they have all required documents, such as their KCET 2026 admit card, Aadhaar card, and Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets.
• They may also need some certificates and photocopies of these documents for verification during the counselling process.

KCET 2026 Counseling Process

After the results are announced, eligible candidates need to register for counselling using their CET application number. The counselling process involves several stages, including document verification, option entry, mock allotment, and the actual allotment round. It is important to note that for admissions into agricultural science courses, the selection is based on the results of the Agricultural University examination. The KEA has arranged for data sharing with the Agricultural University to make the admission process easier and more convenient.

So, What Comes Next for Candidates?

Candidates can start creating their preference list after looking at the trends from last year and the cutoff scores. A mock seat allotment will help them understand how the actual seat allocation process works without affecting their real seat assignment. After the mock allotment, candidates can update their preference list before Round 1 begins, which might help them get a better seat. Once the KCET 2026 results are out, the counselling process is expected to start in the first week of June. It will begin with online registration and document verification, followed by several rounds of seat allocation.
