The crucial Round 1 of the Karnataka Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) 2025 counselling process is reaching its final stage. The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) is set to declare the Final Seat Allotment Results for MBA, MCA, and M.Tech programs today, October 4, after 4:00 PM. This declaration follows the release of the provisional allotment list, giving thousands of management aspirants clarity on their future institutes.

Candidates who participated in the option entry process must immediately check their allotment status. The KEA has provided a strict schedule for the post-allotment formalities, including the pivotal choice filling process, which determines participation in subsequent rounds.

Accessing Your Allotment Status

Aspirants must keep their credentials ready to check the final results online. No individual intimation will be sent by KEA; therefore, timely checking is essential.

Steps to Check Karnataka PGCET 2025 Allotment:

  1. Visit the official KEA website.
  2. Click on the designated link for the 'Karnataka PGCET Final Allotment Results 2025'.
  3. Enter your unique PGCET Number in the login window.
  4. Complete the captcha verification and access your personalised counselling dashboard.

The allotment results will display the institute and course assigned based on the aspirant's merit, options entered, and category.

The Critical Choice Filling Window: October 4–7

Once the final results are out, candidates who have been allotted a seat must exercise one of the four mandatory choices between October 4 and October 7, 2025. Choosing the correct option is vital as it locks in the candidate’s status for the entire counselling process.

  1. Choice 1 (Accept & Freeze): For candidates completely satisfied with the allotted seat and not wishing to participate in Round 2. These students must pay the prescribed fees and report to the college by October 9, 2025 (5:30 PM).
  2. Choice 2 (Accept & Float): For candidates who accept the current seat but want to participate in Round 2 hoping for an upgrade to a higher preferred option. These candidates must also pay the required fees between October 6 and October 8, 2025.
  3. Choice 3 (Reject & Re-allot): For candidates who are rejecting the current seat but wish to participate in the second round for a new seat. They do not pay the fee at this stage.
  4. Choice 4 (Withdraw): For candidates who wish to completely withdraw from the entire PGCET counselling process.

Candidates opting for Choice 1 or Choice 2 have until October 8, 2025, to complete their fee payment, with the final reporting deadline for Choice 1 candidates set for October 9.

Massive Seat Intake for Management Aspirants

The Karnataka PGCET counselling is a major gateway to MBA education in the state. According to the provisional seat matrix for Round 1, a total of 285 colleges are participating in the MBA stream, offering a staggering 20,504 seats across various reservation categories. This ensures a high probability of admission for meritorious students across Karnataka.

Aspirants are advised to meticulously review the college cutoff ranks and make an informed decision within the short choice-filling window. The KEA is expected to announce the dates and details for the second round of counselling soon after the conclusion of Round 1 formalities.
