The counselling process for Karnataka PGCET 2025 will soon begin, marking the next phase for aspirants seeking admission to MBA programs in colleges across Karnataka. The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) will conduct the counselling, a centralized online process designed to fill more than 35,000 MBA seats in 286 participating colleges.

The first step in this process is the "option entry" for eligible candidates, which will open after the draft seat matrix is released. The seat matrix provides a clear breakdown of the available seats across different college types, including Government Engineering Colleges, Private Unaided Colleges, and Public Universities.

The counselling is a multi-step process that includes:

  • Option Entry: Candidates select their preferred colleges and courses.
  • Mock Allotment: A mock allotment list is released to help candidates understand the seat allotment process and make informed decisions.
  • Option Editing: A window is provided for candidates to edit their choices after the mock allotment results.
  • Provisional Seat Allotment: The final seat allotment list is prepared and released by the KEA.

Candidates who have successfully passed the exam and completed their document verification are eligible to participate. After the final seat allotment, candidates must pay the admission fee to their allotted college to secure their admission.
