New Delhi, July 1, 2025 – The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) is all set to release the Round 3 seat allotment result for 2025 counselling on July 2 at 10:00 AM. Candidates who participated in Round 2 under slide or float options, as well as those who were not allotted a seat previously, can now anticipate fresh allotments in Round 3.
The Round 3 seat allotment list will be published on the official JoSAA portal — josaa.nic.in. Alongside the allotment results, the opening and closing ranks for IITs, NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs will also be made available.
What Happens After Seat Allotment?
Candidates who receive a seat in this round are required to complete the online reporting and seat confirmation processes between July 2 and July 4, 2025. This includes:
- Choosing one of the three seat options:
- Freeze: Lock the allotted seat.
- Float: Accept the seat while considering better options in further rounds.
- Slide: Accept the seat but opt for a higher-preferred course within the same institute.
- Uploading the required documents.
- Paying the seat acceptance fee (SAF).
- Responding to any verification queries, if raised. The final date for query resolution is July 5, 2025.
Seat Acceptance Fee Details:
INR 1,500 for: SC, ST, GEN-PwD, GEN-EWS-PwD, OBC-NCL-PwD, SC-PwD, ST-PwD categories.
INR 30,000 for: General, OBC-NCL, and GEN-EWS candidates.
The seat confirmation will only be considered valid after the successful payment of SAF.
