Interested candidates can apply online from May 25, 2026, to June 15, 2026, with the last date being 11:50 PM. JNU provides a wide range of postgraduate courses covering fields like science, humanities, social sciences, engineering, management, and more. Admission will be based on the candidates' CUET PG scores. The university will prepare multiple merit lists to fill all available seats.

Eligibility Requirements
Students who want to pursue a postgraduate course must have a bachelor's degree from a recognized university. Usually, they need to have scored at least 50% in their graduation. However, some postgraduate courses may have specific subject-related eligibility criteria. Applicants must have a valid CUET PG 2026 score to get admission. Final year students can also apply through the provisional admission process. The minimum marks needed may be relaxed for candidates from reserved categories as per government rules.
Fee Structure
The tuition fee for one semester is ₹12,500. Other fees include a student activity fee of ₹2,500, an institution development fee of ₹1,000, and an examination fee of ₹1,000. The total fee per semester is approximately ₹17,000, but it may vary depending on the course. Financial assistance is available for eligible students. Candidates must pay the fees during the pre-admission registration process.
Application Procedure
Prospective students can visit the official website, jnu.ac.in/admissions, and follow the steps below:
- Click on 'PG & ADOP Admission 2026-27'.
- Then complete the online form and upload necessary documents like mark sheets, certificates, and the CUET Scorecard.
- The application fee needs to be paid online.
- The form should be submitted by June 15, 2026, at 11:50 PM. Candidates should save their receipt after submitting the form.
Procedure of the Admission Process
Candidates must fill the online application form by June 15, 2026. The first round's merit list will be announced on June 23, 2026. All selected candidates must complete pre-enrolment registration and pay the fee by June 25, 2026. Physical verification of selected candidates will occur from July 6, 2026, to July 14, 2026. Those not selected in earlier rounds can apply again between July 20 and July 22, 2026. The final merit list will be declared on July 28, 2026. The entire admission process should be completed by August 7, 2026.
