For aspiring legal professionals who aimed to secure a seat in one of India's leading private law schools, the final admission window for O.P. Jindal Global University's (JGU) Jindal Global Law School (JGLS) for its prestigious 5-year integrated law programmes (B.A. LL.B. (Hons.), B.B.A. LL.B. (Hons.), B.Com. LL.B. (Hons.)) has now concluded. The last opportunity for candidates to take the mandatory LNAT-UK (Law National Aptitude Test - UK) for the 2025-26 academic year was July 31, 2025, signaling the imminent commencement of classes.

JGLS, consistently ranked among the top law schools globally by QS World University Rankings, operates a rigorous admission process that primarily relies on the LNAT-UK test. This test assesses critical thinking, reading comprehension, and analytical skills, aligning with the school's commitment to selecting high-calibre students for its interdisciplinary and globally-focused curriculum.

Crucial Deadlines Met and Next Steps:

The "final call" for admissions saw a renewed push for candidates to complete their applications and appear for the LNAT-UK exam by the specified deadline of July 31, 2025. With this window now closed, the admissions team is finalizing offers based on LNAT-UK scores, personal statements, and academic records.

Students who have successfully secured admission are now preparing for their on-campus reporting, which is scheduled between August 1 and August 3, 2025. This will be followed by the official commencement of classes for the new academic session on Monday, August 4, 2025.

About JGLS and its 5-Year Integrated Programmes:

JGLS is renowned for its global faculty, state-of-the-art infrastructure, and a curriculum that incorporates international best practices. The 5-year integrated law programmes offer a comprehensive legal education, blending foundational subjects with specialized areas of law. Key highlights of studying at JGLS include:

  • Global Exposure: Extensive international collaborations, exchange programmes, and a diverse student body.
  • Research Focus: Encouragement of research through various centres and faculty mentorship.
  • Holistic Development: Emphasis on mooting, debates, and experiential learning.
  • LSAT-UK Focus: JGLS is unique in India for using the LNAT-UK, an internationally recognized aptitude test, as its primary admission criterion for these programs. (Note: The essay component of LNAT-UK is not considered by JGLS; only the 42 multiple-choice questions are evaluated).

With admissions for the 2025-26 academic year now reaching their conclusive phase, prospective students for future batches (2026-27 onwards) are advised to begin their preparation for the LNAT-UK exam well in advance and keep a close watch on the JGLS official website (jgu.edu.in) for details on upcoming admission cycles.
