The State Government of Jharkhand has introduced a significant hype in the stipend of Senior Resident Doctors. The policy change has provided a huge amount of motivation and has strengthened the public healthcare system of Jharkhand.
Loads of medical professionals have been asking for a better financial support and the betterment of the working conditions of resident Doctors. It looks as if the government is listening to the voices of the medical system.
Senior residents have huge amount of work load on them. They share all the duties after the Medical Doctors of the hospitals. They play a huge role in maintaining the system of the Government Hospitals. In fact Senior residents manage the framework of Medical Colleges and provide their services to handle a huge amount of patients. A fact that is usually not considered in the framework of the system is the training of the Junior resident Doctors.
Even after sustaining a huge amount of work load, the stipend of Senior resident Doctors has remained quite low over years in Jharkhand if we compare it to other states. Due to this low stipend, the senior residents have always remained dissatisfied. In major cases, they have migrated to other states with better pay and better working conditions.
As the state of Jharkhand has improved in every condition, the monthly stipend of Senior Residents have not been able to reach the national standards. With the new step of the Jharkhand Government, the monthly stipend will reach the national standards.
The seniors of the system believe that the step taken by them will improve the working conditions of the residents. The step will also provide them a satisfaction of the job due to the system. There would be less migration of Doctors and Jharkhand would be able to retain skilled professionals.
We can be assured that the Government wants skilled Doctors to stay in the Government Hospitals and provide their services to the nation.
