JEECUP Counselling 2026 Round 4 Choice Filling Live at jeecup.admissions.nic.in; Seat Allotment Result on July 30

Round 4 of JEECUP Counselling 2026 is now live, and this one's a bit different from the earlier rounds. The Joint Entrance Examination Council Uttar Pradesh has thrown open the choice filling window on its official portal, jeecup.admissions.nic.in, and candidates have until July 29, 2026 to lock in their branch and college preferences.

The provisional seat allotment result for this round comes out on July 30, 2026. To get started, candidates just need to log in with their application number and password. One thing worth noting: once you lock your choices, that's it — no going back to edit them.

What makes Round 4 stand out is that it's the first round where candidates from outside Uttar Pradesh get a shot. The first three rounds were kept strictly for UP domicile candidates. So how many seats are actually up for grabs in Round 4 comes down to whatever's left over after Rounds 1 through 3 wrap up.

JEECUP 2026 Round 4 Key Dates and Fee

Who Can Take Part in JEECUP Round 4 Counselling?

This round essentially opens the doors wider. Candidates from any state can now register and start filling choices — something they couldn't do earlier. And if you're from UP but somehow missed the first three rounds, Round 4 is your way back in too.

That said, you'll still need a valid JEECUP 2026 rank to be in the running. Before you can even begin choice filling, there's a counselling registration fee of Rs 3,000 to pay online. The good news is this isn't extra money lost — it gets adjusted against your admission fee once you're allotted a seat at an institute.

How to Fill Choices for JEECUP 2026 Round 4

Here's the process, step by step:

1. Head to admissions.nic.in/JEECUP and click on the candidate login link.
2. Sign in using your JEECUP 2026 application number and password.
3. Finish your Round 4 registration and pay the fee if you haven't already.
4. Go to the choice filling tab and start picking colleges and branches, ranked in the order you actually want them.
5. Take your time rearranging the list until the order feels right.
6. Once you're happy with it, hit Lock Choices and download the confirmation page for your records.

Freeze or Float — What Happens After Seat Allotment?

Once a seat is allotted, every candidate has to make a call between two options: Freeze or Float. Choosing Freeze means you're happy with the seat and accept it as final. Choosing Float means you'll take the seat for now, but you're keeping the door open in case something better comes up in the next round.

Whatever you pick needs to be confirmed within the reporting window given alongside the result. Miss the fee payment or skip document verification, and you risk losing the seat altogether — and that also knocks you out of the remaining counselling rounds.

Why This Round Matters

For candidates outside UP, this is really the only real window into the JEECUP seat pool. Diploma aspirants from other states have been waiting for exactly this moment, since the earlier rounds simply weren't open to them.

Action Plan for Candidates

1. Log in at jeecup.admissions.nic.in before the July 29 deadline slips by.
2. Clear the Rs 3,000 counselling fee online if it's still pending.
3. List out every college and branch you'd be okay with, so you don't accidentally miss out on a seat.
4. Lock your choices and keep the confirmation slip safe.
5. Check the seat allotment result on July 30, 2026.
6. Decide between Freeze and Float, then complete the fee payment and document verification without delay.
