The Joint Entrance Examination Council Uttar Pradesh (JEECUP) has started the first round of choice filling for the Uttar Pradesh Joint Entrance Examination Polytechnic (UPJEE) 2026 counseling on the official website at jeecup.admissions.nic.in. Candidates who have qualified can now sign up, pay the counseling fee, and select their preferred colleges and branches for seat allocation. The first round of registration and choice filling will be open until June 30, 2026. The first seat allotment result is expected on July 1, 2026. The entire counseling process will take place in five rounds across two phases.

JEECUP 2026 Round 1 Key Details

Candidates have to pay a non-refundable seat acceptance fee of Rs 3,000 during registration. This can be done through net banking, debit card, credit card, or UPI on the official website. They can select as many college and branch choices as are available under their eligible category. The seat allotment will depend on the JEECUP 2026 rank, category, choices made, and the number of seats available. Those who get a seat in Round 1 must choose either 'freeze' or 'float' before they go for document verification.

Documents Required for JEECUP 2026 Counselling

Candidates who have been allotted a seat must bring original documents and one set of self-attested photocopies for verification at the reporting center. If any documents are missing, their seat may be cancelled.

Required documents include:

  • JEECUP 2026 rank card and admit card
  • Provisional seat allotment letter
  • Class 10 and Class 12 result sheets and certificates
  • Domicile certificate of Uttar Pradesh
  • Category certificate, if applicable
  • Recent passport-sized photographs
  • Aadhaar card and a valid photo ID

How to Register and Fill in Choices on the JEECUP Portal?

Candidates can complete Round 1 registration and choice filling by following these steps:

  1. Go to the official portal at jeecup.admissions.nic.in.
  2. Click on the Round 1 registration link and enter the JEECUP 2026 application number and password.
  3. Fill in your personal, academic, and contact details as required.
  4. Pay the seat acceptance fee of Rs 3,000 online.
  5. Enter your preferred institute and branch choices in the order of your preference.
  6. Lock your choices before the deadline and save the confirmation page.
