JEECUP (UP) has officially changed the dates for the JEECUP 2026 exam. The computer-based polytechnic entrance test, which was originally planned to be held from May 15th to May 22nd, 2026, has now been moved to June 2nd to June 9th, 2026. This decision was made based on the request from the candidates to ensure the well-being and better preparation of the students.

The rescheduling came into effect on May 12th, 2026. This change gives students more time to prepare for the exam. Additionally, the last date for submitting online applications has been adjusted to May 11th, 2026, which allows more students to apply for the exam.

Reason for Delaying

The new dates for the JEECUP 2026 exam were set after considering the requests from the students and taking their well-being into account. The original dates, which were from May 15 to May 22, 2026, gave the candidates very little time to prepare for the exam. The updated dates, now from June 2 to June 9, 2026, provide the students with about two more weeks to get ready for the exam. This decision shows that the Council is attentive to the students' needs and is committed to ensuring a fair and proper examination process for everyone.

The last date to submit the application has been extended to May 11, 2026. Eligible students can register on the official website, jeecup.admissions.nic.in, by filling out the application form.

The application fees can be paid online through the payment gateway provided by the university.
Candidates will also have a chance to correct their application forms during the correction period, which runs from May 8 to May 12, 2026. Once the deadline passes, the registration process will be closed, and no more applications will be accepted.

Examination Pattern & Marking Scheme

The JEECUP 2026 exam will be conducted in a computer-based test (CBT) format. All questions will be of the objective type and will be based on the subjects relevant to the streams for which the entrance exam is held. Marks will be given for correct answers, and there will be no penalty for incorrect answers. The exam generally lasts between 2 to 3 hours, depending on the course or stream chosen.

Future Action Plan for Candidates

Candidates are advised to regularly check the official JEECUP website for all updates related to the admit card, exam center details, and other important notifications. They must download the admit card from the website and carefully check the details printed on it. On the day of the exam, candidates should reach the designated exam center with valid ID proof.

After the exam, the results will be announced, followed by the counseling process. During the online counseling session, candidates will be able to select their preferred institutes and courses based on their performance.
