The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to release the admit cards for the JEE Main 2026 Session 2 in the final week of March. As of today, March 26, 2026, the official city intimation slips have already been made available on the portal, allowing candidates to check their allotted examination cities. Following standard protocol, the formal hall tickets are typically issued 3 to 4 days before the commencement of the exam, placing the likely release date between March 28 and March 30, 2026.

In a recent update, the NTA has also revised the examination window for the April session. The exams, which were originally scheduled to continue until April 9, will now be conducted from April 2 to April 8, 2026. This national-level entrance test will be held in computer-based test (CBT) mode across various centers in India and 15 cities abroad.

JEE Main 2026 Session 2: Revised Examination Schedule

The following table details the revised dates for Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech) and Paper 2 (B.Arch/B.Planning). Candidates should note that the specific shift timing (Morning or Afternoon) will only be mentioned on the final admit card.

Paper 2A (B.Arch)April 7, 2026

Steps to Download the Session 2 Admit Card

Once the link is activated on the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in, candidates can follow these steps to secure their hall ticket:

  1. Visit the Portal: Navigate to the official JEE Main website.
  2. Login Credentials: Click on the "JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Admit Card" link and enter your Application Number and Date of Birth/Password.
  3. Security Pin: Enter the captcha code displayed on the screen.
  4. Verification: Carefully check the candidate's name, exam center address, and shift timing.
  5. Download & Print: Save the PDF and take at least 2–3 clear printouts for the exam day.

Important Guidelines for Candidates

  • Mandatory Documents: Entry to the examination hall is strictly prohibited without a printed copy of the admit card and a valid government-issued photo ID (Aadhaar, Passport, etc.).
  • City Slip vs. Admit Card: Candidates must remember that the city intimation slip released on March 21 is only for travel planning and is not valid for entry into the exam center.
  • Reporting Time: Applicants are advised to reach the venue at least 60–90 minutes before the shift starts to complete the biometric registration and security frisking.

Conclusion

The upcoming release of the JEE Main 2026 Session 2 admit card marks the final countdown for the April engineering entrance exams. With the city allotment already live, candidates should utilize the remaining days to finalize their revision and organize the necessary documentation. The shift to a condensed schedule ending on April 8 means candidates must stay vigilant for the exact date and timing assigned to them on their hall tickets. For any technical difficulties regarding the download process, candidates can reach out to the NTA helpline at 011-40759000.
