The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi has declared the Institute of National Importance Super Speciality (INI SS) July 2026 Open Round Allotment Result. Candidates can check their allotment status through the official AIIMS examination portal at aiimsexams.ac.in. Candidates who have been allotted seats in the Open Round must report to their respective institutes between August 25 and August 31, 2026. The last date and time for reporting is 5:00 PM on August 31, 2026. The Open Round includes 363 DM and MCh seats across five Institutes of National Importance (INIs).

The 363 seats on offer are split across three broad admission categories. Candidates can view the category-wise break-up below.

AIIMS has clarified that General and Sponsored seat categories cannot be merged. Candidates holding a previous allocation in this session are not eligible for this round.

Participating Institutes in INI SS Open Round

The Open Round includes seats across the following five Institutes of National Importance:

• AIIMS institutes
• PGIMER Chandigarh
• JIPMER Puducherry
• NIMHANS Bengaluru
• SCTIMST Thiruvananthapuram
• The available seats are for Doctorate of Medicine (DM) and Master of Chirurgiae (MCh) super-speciality programmes.

Who Is Eligible for the INI SS July 2026 Open Round?

Candidates who secured 50% marks or above in the INI SS entrance examination conducted on April 25, 2026 are eligible for provisional allotment, subject to the additional eligibility conditions specified in the official notification. However, candidates who have already accepted a seat in an earlier round of the INI SS July 2026 counselling process are not eligible to participate in the Open Round. AIIMS has also clarified that the Open Round is the final round and no further counselling rounds will be conducted after it.

Candidates can follow these steps to check their allotment status:

1. Visit the official AIIMS examination website at aiimsexams.ac.in.
2. Log in using the registered INI SS credentials.
3. Go to My Page.
4. Click on the Online Institute Allocation link.
5. Check the allotted institute, course and category.
6. Download the allotment letter for future reference.

What Is the ₹3 Lakh Security Deposit?

Candidates allotted a seat in the Open Round are required to make a non-refundable security deposit of ₹3 lakh. The amount must be transferred through RTGS or NEFT to the bank account details specified by AIIMS. After making the payment, candidates must upload the required documents on the portal, including:

• Payment receipt
• Cancelled cheque from the same bank account
• Candidates should ensure that the payment details and uploaded documents are accurate before proceeding with reporting.

INI SS July 2026 Open Round Reporting Process

After completing the payment and document-upload process, candidates must report to their allotted institute for further admission formalities. The reporting period is from August 25 to August 31, 2026. Candidates must complete the reporting process before 5:00 PM on August 31, 2026. Candidates should carry all required original documents, including:

• Educational and qualifying certificates
• Valid identity proof
• Category certificate, wherever applicable
• Payment-related documents
• Allotment letter
• Other documents specified by the allotted institute

1. Check allotment: Log in to aiimsexams.ac.in and verify the allotted institute and course.
2. Download letter: Save the INI SS Open Round allotment letter.
3. Pay deposit: Transfer the ₹3 lakh non-refundable deposit through RTGS or NEFT.
4. Upload documents: Submit the payment receipt and cancelled cheque on the portal.
