For thousands of PG medical aspirants eagerly awaiting their chance to secure a coveted seat in India's premier medical institutions, the INI CET July 2025 session counselling is progressing swiftly. The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), the conducting body for the Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test (INI CET), is all set to release the Round 2 seat allotment result in just a few days, on July 10, 2025.

This upcoming declaration holds significant importance for candidates who participated in the Round 1 counselling and either did not secure a seat, opted for an upgrade, or are participating for the first time in Round 2 based on their INI CET July 2025 scores. The INI CET serves as the gateway for admission to highly sought-after postgraduate medical courses (MD, MS, M.Ch. (6 years), DM (6 years), MDS, and MD Hospital Administration) in institutions of national importance such as AIIMS across India, JIPMER Puducherry, PGIMER Chandigarh, and NIMHANS Bengaluru.

Key Dates for INI CET July 2025 Round 2 Counselling:

Announcement of Round 2 Seat Allotment Result: The much-anticipated result will be released on Thursday, July 10, 2025. Candidates will be able to check their allocation status on the official AIIMS Exams website, aiimsexams.ac.in.

Online Acceptance of Allocated Seat: Following the result declaration, candidates who are allotted a seat in Round 2 must accept it online. This window will be active from Friday, July 11, 2025, at 11:00 AM, until Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at 05:00 PM. It is crucial to complete this step within the stipulated time.

Reporting & Submission of Documents/Security Deposit: Concurrently with online acceptance, candidates must physically report to their respective allotted institutions for document verification and submission of the required security deposit. This essential step also takes place from Friday, July 11, 2025, at 11:00 AM, until Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at 05:00 PM.

What Aspirants Need to Do:

PG medical aspirants are strongly advised to remain vigilant and proactive during this critical phase. Here’s a checklist to ensure a smooth Round 2 process:

Monitor the Official Website: Keep a constant check on aiimsexams.ac.in for the Round 2 allotment result and any subsequent notices or instructions.

Download Allotment Letter: Once the result is out, download your provisional seat allotment letter immediately.

Prepare Documents: Ensure all original documents and their self-attested photocopies are ready for verification. This typically includes:

  1. INI CET Admit Card & Rank Card
  2. MBBS Degree Certificate
  3. Internship Completion Certificate
  4. Permanent/Provisional Registration Certificate issued by MCI/NMC/SMC
  5. High School & Intermediate Certificates
  6. Category Certificate (if applicable, in prescribed format)
  7. Identity Proof (Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, etc.)
  8. Passport-sized photographs

Adhere to Deadlines: The timelines for online acceptance and physical reporting are strict. Failure to comply can lead to the forfeiture of the allotted seat.

Understand Options: Candidates who are allotted a seat in Round 2 will generally have the option to either accept the seat and not participate in further rounds or accept the seat while remaining eligible for an upgrade in subsequent rounds (if any, as per AIIMS guidelines).

The INI CET counselling process is designed to be transparent and merit-based. By staying organized and adhering to the official schedule, PG medical aspirants can effectively navigate this crucial stage towards realizing their medical careers in a specialized field.
