INI CET January 2026 Round 1 Seat Allocation Result on December 18

The most anticipated moment for postgraduate medical and dental aspirants is just two days away. The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, is scheduled to publish the INI CET January 2026 Round 1 Seat Allocation Result on Thursday, December 18, 2025.

This result will determine the provisional allocation of MD, MS, M.Ch (6 years), DM (6 years), and MDS seats across all participating Institutions of National Importance (INIs), including AIIMS, JIPMER, PGIMER, NIMHANS, and SCTIMST. Candidates who successfully participated in the choice filling and locking process must now prepare for the subsequent, time-bound steps of acceptance and physical reporting.

Round 1 Critical Post-Allocation Schedule

The window for accepting the allocated seat and completing the physical admission formalities is extremely short and must be strictly adhered to.

The Two Choices After Allotment

Successful candidates must log in to the official AIIMS portal (aiimsexams.ac.in) starting December 19 to download their Provisional Allotment Letter and formally make one of two choices:

1. Option 1: Accept & Freeze:
   • The candidate is satisfied with the allocated seat/specialty and does not wish to participate in subsequent rounds.
   • Action: Mandatory physical reporting and submission of original documents to the allotted institute between December 19 and 24. The admission is finalized.
2. Option 2: Accept & Upgrade:
   • The candidate accepts the current seat but wishes to be considered for a higher-preferred choice in Round 2.
   • Action: Mandatory physical reporting and submission of original documents to the Round 1 allotted institute between December 19 and 24. If a better seat is allotted in Round 2, the Round 1 seat is automatically cancelled, and the candidate must join the Round 2 seat. If not upgraded, the Round 1 seat remains confirmed.

Warning on Non-Compliance

Any candidate who is allotted a seat but fails to complete the online acceptance or the mandatory physical reporting by 5:00 PM on December 24, 2025, will forfeit the allotted seat and will be ineligible to participate in the subsequent Round 2 of the INI CET counselling process.

Aspirants should use the next two days to organize all original documents, including internship completion and medical registration certificates, and prepare for immediate travel and reporting once the result is out.
