INI CET 2025 (July Session) Open Round: Registration & Choice Filling Closes Today!

Today, July 31, is the final day (until 5 PM) for INI CET 2025 (July Session) Open Round registration and choice filling for MD/MS/MDS admissions at AIIMS, JIPMER, NIMHANS, PGIMER.

For postgraduate medical aspirants eyeing admissions into the prestigious Institutes of National Importance (INIs), today, July 31, 2025, marks the final deadline for participating in the Open Round of INI CET 2025 (July Session) counselling. The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, the conducting body, has activated the online portal for fresh registrations and choice filling, which will close sharply at 5:00 PM (17:00) today.

This Open Round, often referred to as Round 3, is a crucial opportunity for candidates who qualified the INI CET 2025 (July Session) exam but could not secure a seat in the previous Mock, Round 1, or Round 2 allotments. It aims to fill the remaining vacant seats in MD, MS, M.Ch(6 years), DM(6 years), and MDS courses across AIIMS institutions, JIPMER Puducherry, NIMHANS Bengaluru, and PGIMER Chandigarh.

Key Deadlines to Note Today:

• Online Registration: Closes today, July 31, 2025, at 5:00 PM (17:00). Candidates who have not yet registered for the Open Round must complete this step urgently.
• Choice Filling and Locking: Also closes today, July 31, 2025, at 5:00 PM (17:00). Aspirants must carefully fill and lock their preferred institutions and specialities in order of their priority before the deadline.

Candidates who have already registered in previous rounds but wish to participate in the Open Round for available seats must ensure their choices are updated and locked by the stipulated time. Unlike some previous rounds, fresh registration is mandatory for candidates who haven't participated or haven't secured a seat previously and wish to enter this round.

Eligibility for Open Round:

Generally, candidates who have qualified the INI CET 2025 July Session exam (by securing the minimum cut-off percentile) are eligible for the Open Round. This includes those who:

• Did not get any seat in previous rounds.
• Were allotted a seat but forfeited it.
• Are registering for the first time in counselling for this session.

A security deposit, typically Rs. 3.00 Lakh, is often required to participate in the Open Round. Candidates must refer to the official information brochure for the precise eligibility criteria and fee details.

What Happens Next:

After the closure of the registration and choice filling window today, AIIMS will proceed with the seat allotment process:

• Seat Allotment Result: The result for the INI CET 2025 (July Session) Open Round is expected to be declared on August 23, 2025. The allotment list will be published in PDF format on the official AIIMS website.
• Online Acceptance & Reporting: Candidates who are allotted seats in this round will then need to accept their allocated seat online and report to their respective institutions for document verification and admission formalities between August 25 and August 30, 2025.
