How to Fill the IIT JAM 2027 Application Form
The registration and form-filling process runs through the JOAPS portal in four broad stages — registration, form filling, document upload, and fee payment. Candidates should follow these steps:
- Visit the official JAM 2027 website, jam.iitkgp.ac.in, or the JOAPS portal directly at joaps.iitkgp.ac.in.
- Click on the Application Portal link.
- On the JOAPS portal, select "Register here" to create a new account.
- Complete the registration form with basic personal and contact details.
- Log in and fill out the full application form.
- Upload the required documents in the specified format and size.
- Pay the application fee online.
The form is available only in online mode — IIT Kharagpur has not provided an offline submission option for JAM 2027.

Fees can be paid online through net banking, credit card, debit card, UPI, or wallet.
Candidates who wish to change their exam city after submitting the form can do so by paying an additional INR 300.
Exam Date and Mode
IIT Kharagpur will conduct IIT JAM 2027 on February 14, 2027, as a computer-based test (CBT).
What Happens After Submission
Once a form is submitted, the conducting authority verifies the details and uploaded documents. If everything is in order, the application is accepted; if a discrepancy is found, the application is marked defective and the candidate is notified by email and SMS. Candidates must then correct the flagged issues during the designated form-correction window. An admit card is issued only after the application is accepted, and candidates cannot appear for the exam without it. IIT Kharagpur is expected to release the admission brochure before the counselling process begins.
