Registration began at 5 PM on July 2, 2026. Only those who passed the IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) 2026 are eligible to apply. Both registration and filling of choices are done on the same portal, and the entire process is online. Seven IISER campuses are taking part in this counseling round. Admissions are for the five-year BS-MS dual degree program. The list of campuses and the dates for each are given in the tables below.

Seat Acceptance Fee
Candidates who are given a seat must pay a seat acceptance fee. The amount of the fee depends on the applicant's category. If the payment is not made, the seat allotment will be cancelled automatically.

Candidates who passed the IAT 2026 should follow these steps to complete the process.

What happens after seat allotment?
Seats are assigned based on IAT rank, category, and the choices filled. After the seat is allotted, students are given two options for their seat. They can either freeze or float the seat. Freezing means the student accepts the seat without seeking any better options. Floating means the student keeps the seat but waits for a better opportunity. If the payment is not made within the given time, the seat allotment is lost.
