IIM Shillong has started accepting applications for its five-year Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) for the 2026-31 batch, allowing students to enrol and earn a BBA and an MBA degree. Interested candidates can apply online by visiting apps.iimshillong.ac.in/admission/ from May 1, 2026, to May 30, 2026. Applicants from the general category need to pay an application fee of INR 2,000, while those from the SC/ST/DA/EWS categories will pay INR 1,000 only.
The IPM is a five-year integrated management programme designed to prepare students to become ethical and responsible leaders. The programme focuses on learning through experience, with various types of courses offered in different formats. The core courses consist of 80% theory and 20% practicums, cognate courses have 50% theory and 50% practicums, and modular courses include 20% theory and 80% practicums.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who want to apply for the IIM Shillong IPM programme for the academic year 2026-2031 must have been born on or after August 1, 2006. However, there is an age relaxation for candidates belonging to the SC/ST/DA categories, and they must have been born on or after August 1, 2001. Candidates are required to have scored a minimum of 70% in both their Class 10 and Class 12 exams. For those from the SC/ST/DA categories, the minimum requirement is 65%. Additionally, they must have studied mathematics or applied mathematics in both classes 11 and 12. Furthermore, candidates must have taken either the IPMAT 2026 or the SAT exam. If they have taken the SAT, they need to have scored at least 1,300 out of 1,600 and must have taken the exam after June 1, 2025.

Selection Procedure
The Personal Interview (PI) is the most important part of the selection process and carries the highest weightage of 50%. The entrance exam contributes 30%, while the Class 10 and Class 12 academic results together account for 20%. The entire selection process has six stages: submitting the application form, checking eligibility, shortlisting for the personal interview, conducting the online interview, evaluating the PI, and creating the merit list.
Application Procedure
Applicants must visit apps.iimshillong.ac.in/admission/ to fill out the online application form with all their personal and academic information. Those from reserved categories such as SC, ST, and DA must include a valid caste or category certificate. Candidates applying under the EWS category need to attach a valid EWS certificate. After completing the form, applicants are required to pay a non-refundable application fee. The fee is INR 2,000 for general category candidates and INR 1,000 for eligible reserved category candidates.
Placement Successes
The IPM programme at IIM Shillong has had strong placement results, with an average salary package of around INR 26.44 LPA and some students receiving packages higher than INR 71.5 LPA. Students are placed in various industries such as consulting, finance, IT, e-commerce, and manufacturing. The course is designed to equip students with the skills necessary for leadership and managerial roles.
