IIM Kozhikode Opens PGP-BL 2026-28 Admissions; Apply by July 15 for Leadership Programme

The Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIM Kozhikode) has started accepting applications for the Post Graduate Programme in Business Leadership (PGP-BL) for the 2026-28 batch. The registration process for Phase 1 is now open, and interested candidates can apply through the official website at iimk.ac.in. Working professionals can apply until July 15, 2026. Those who are selected will have to attend the Personal Interaction (PI) round on August 8 and 9, 2026. The classes for this batch will begin in the first week of April 2027. The PGP-BL is a residential program aimed at mid-career professionals. It's meant for people who have a lot of work experience and are looking to move into top leadership positions.

The admission cycle runs across three phases. Each phase carries its own application window and interview schedule.

The Phase 1 cycle gives candidates an early route to a final offer. The class commencement date remains the same across all three phases.

Who Can Apply?

To be considered for the PGP-BL, candidates must meet three key requirements. They need to fulfil all three to be eligible.

• First, they must have at least a 50% or equivalent CGPA in their graduation. They can also have a post-graduation, CA, CMA (ICWA), or CS qualification.
• Second, they should have a minimum of four years of work experience after completing their graduation.
• Third, they must have a valid score in GMAT, GRE, or CAT.

The graduation can be in any field, but the work experience has to be after graduation to count towards eligibility.

What Is the Cost of the Programme?

• The application fee is Rs 3,000 and is not refundable.
• The total cost for the 2026-28 batch is Rs 22,50,000.

The programme fee includes all the teaching materials, books, and hostel accommodation. It also covers access to campus facilities like the library. Additional charges for mess and canteen services are billed separately based on usage.

Candidates can apply for Phase 1 by following these steps:

• Go to the official PGP-BL page at iimk.ac.in.
• Click on the application link for the 2026-28 batch.
• Register using a valid email and mobile number.
• Fill in all the academic, professional, and personal details in the application form.
• Upload your mark sheets, proof of work experience, and the GMAT, GRE, or CAT scorecard.
• Pay the application fee of Rs 3,000 using online modes.
• Submit the form and download the confirmation page for your records.

What Happens After Submitting Phase 1?

IIM Kozhikode will evaluate all completed applications received by July 15, 2026. The selection will be based on the candidate's academic record, professional background, and test scores. Shortlisted candidates will be called for the Personal Interaction (PI) round. The final admission offers will be given after the PI rounds are completed. If a candidate does not qualify in Phase 1, they can apply again in Phase 2. The Phase 2 application window will open on July 25, 2026.
