IIM Ahmedabad has published the admission policy for its two-year PGP 2027-29 batch. The shortlist for the Analytical Writing Test (AWT) and Personal Interview (PI) gives 65% weight to the CAT 2026 total percentile and 35% to the normalised application rating.
How the Shortlist Is Calculated
The raw composite score is 0.35 times the normalised application rating, plus 0.65 times the CAT total percentile (out of 100). The score is then normalised within the applicant's undergraduate discipline. Cutoffs are applied after that.
Application Rating Points
| Factor | Points |
|---|---|
| Class 10, Class 12 and bachelor's marks (each) | 1 for 55% or below; 2 for above 55 to 60; 3 for above 60 to 70; 5 for above 70 to 80; 8 for above 80 to 90; 10 for above 90 |
| Work experience | 0 below 12 months; 0.20 per month beyond 11 months for 12 to 36 months; 5 above 36 months |
| Gender diversity | 3 points for non-male candidates |
Minimum CAT 2026 Percentile Cutoffs

The cutoffs may change from year to year, and meeting them does not guarantee a call.
