IGNOU July 2026 Admission Begins at Samarth Portal; Fresh Applications Open Till July 15

Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has started the admission process for the July 2026 session through the Samarth Higher Education Admission Portal. People who want to study for undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, or certificate courses can apply at ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in. The final date to apply for new admissions is July 15, 2026. IGNOU offers flexible and distance learning options to students across the country. For the July 2026 session, the university is providing a wide range of educational programmes across various fields. Existing students must make sure to re-register by June 30, 2026. If they register after this date, they will have to pay an extra fee of Rs 200.

How can one apply for IGNOU July Admission 2026?

• Candidates need to go to the official Samarth admission website and click on the "NEW REGISTRATION" option.
• The applicant has to create a username that is between 8 and 16 letters.
• They also need to set up an alphanumeric password, which should be between 8 and 16 characters long.
• During the registration process, the candidate must provide their email address and mobile number and verify them using an OTP. 
• It is important to ensure that the APAAR ID is available.
• The applicant has to upload a passport-sized photograph in JPEG format, with a file size under 100 KB.
• They also need to upload a signature in JPEG format. 
• Educational certificates can be uploaded in JPEG or PDF format, and each file should not exceed 200 KB.
• All candidates are advised to scan all the required forms and make sure they are clear and readable before uploading them.
