For management aspirants who have their sights set on securing an MBA or PGPM degree from the reputable ICFAI Business Schools (IBS) across India, the application journey for IBSAT 2025 is well underway. The application window for the ICFAI Business School Aptitude Test (IBSAT) 2025 commenced on July 1, 2025, offering candidates a substantial period to complete their application formalities.

Conducted by the ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education (IFHE) Hyderabad, a deemed-to-be university, IBSAT serves as the primary entrance examination for admission to the various MBA/PGPM programs offered by its nine campuses nationwide. This includes prominent locations like IBS Hyderabad, IBS Mumbai, IBS Bangalore, IBS Pune, and IBS Gurgaon, among others.

Key Dates and Long Application Period:

The extended application window for IBSAT 2025 provides ample opportunity for candidates to prepare and apply without rushing. Here are the crucial dates:

  • Online Application Starts: July 1, 2025
  • Online Application Last Date: December 22, 2025
  • IBSAT 2025 Exam Dates: December 27 & 28, 2025
  • Result Declaration: First week of January 2026 (Score Card download available from January 5, 2026)

The exam itself is a two-day, online proctored computer-based test, offering convenience to candidates appearing from home.

Eligibility and Application Process:

To be eligible for IBSAT 2025, candidates typically need a Bachelor's degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks, with English as the medium of instruction. They must have completed at least 15 years of formal education (10+2+3 or 10+2+4). Final-year Bachelor's degree students are also eligible to apply provisionally.

The application process is straightforward and can be completed online through the official IBSAT website: ibsindia.org. The application fee is INR 1800, which covers consideration for admission to all nine IBS campuses.

IBSAT Exam Pattern and Selection Stages:

The IBSAT 2025 exam is a 120-minute test comprising 140 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) across four key sections:

  • Verbal Ability
  • Reading Comprehension
  • Quantitative Aptitude
  • Data Adequacy & Data Interpretation

Notably, there is no negative marking in the IBSAT exam, which can be an advantage for candidates.

Beyond the IBSAT exam, the selection process for IBS campuses is multi-pronged:

  1. Shortlisting: Candidates are shortlisted based on their IBSAT 2025 scores (or valid GMAT/CAT/XAT/NMAT by GMAC scores, which are also accepted).
  2. Selection Briefings: Shortlisted candidates will be invited to selection briefings, usually held in January 2026, where they receive an overview of the programs and the subsequent selection stages.
  3. Micro Presentation (MP) & Personal Interview (PI): In February 2026 onwards, shortlisted candidates undergo a Micro Presentation (which has replaced the traditional Group Discussion round) and a Personal Interview. The MP assesses quick thinking, presentation, and communication skills, while the PI evaluates general knowledge, clarity of thought, and aptitude for management.
  4. Final Merit List: The final admission offers are based on a composite score derived from the candidate's entrance exam score, performance in the MP and PI rounds, and past academic record.

Why Choose IBS for Your MBA?

ICFAI Business Schools are known for their industry-aligned curriculum, strong faculty, emphasis on case study methodology, and robust placement record. With campuses strategically located across major cities, IBS offers diverse learning environments and opportunities.

Aspirants who are looking for a comprehensive management education and wish to pursue their MBA/PGPM at a well-established institution are strongly encouraged to utilize this ongoing application window for IBSAT 2025. Timely application ensures a smoother admission process and allows candidates to focus on their preparation for the upcoming exam and subsequent selection rounds.
