The Admission Committee for Professional Undergraduate Medical Courses (ACPUGMEC) in Gujarat initiated its NEET UG Counselling 2025 process earlier this month. While the online registration and PIN purchase window for Gujarat NEET UG Counselling closed on July 18, 2025, the crucial phase of document verification is nearing its end. Today, July 21, 2025, is the final deadline for medical aspirants to complete this mandatory step at various help centers across Gujarat.

Final Deadline: Candidates who successfully registered and purchased their PINs between July 5 and July 18, 2025, must ensure their documents are verified by today, July 21, 2025, at the designated help centers. Failure to do so will result in their exclusion from the state merit list, effectively disqualifying them from the Gujarat NEET Counselling process.

Purpose of Verification: This document verification is a critical step to confirm the authenticity and eligibility of candidates based on their NEET UG 2025 scores and other academic and personal details. Only those whose documents are successfully verified will be considered for inclusion in the Gujarat NEET 2025 merit list and subsequent seat allotment rounds.

Admissions Scope: Through Gujarat NEET Counselling 2025, admissions are granted to MBBS, BDS, and other allied medical courses for 85% state quota seats in government medical colleges and 100% of seats in private medical colleges within Gujarat.

Post-Verification: Once the document verification concludes today, ACPUGMEC will compile and release the provisional merit list for Gujarat NEET UG Counselling 2025. This merit list will then be used for the subsequent online choice filling and seat allotment rounds. Medical aspirants are advised to frequently check the official website, medadmgujarat.ncode.in, for the merit list release and detailed schedules for choice filling and allotment.

This is the last call for Gujarat's medical aspirants to validate their application and remain in contention for a medical seat in the state.

Key Documents for Verification & Next Steps

For medical aspirants undergoing document verification today or preparing for future counselling rounds, having all required documents in order is paramount.

Documents Required for Verification:

  • NEET UG 2025 Admit Card
  • NEET UG 2025 Scorecard/Result
  • Class 10th (SSC) Mark Sheet & Certificate (for Date of Birth proof)
  • Class 12th (HSC) Mark Sheet & Passing Certificate
  • Proof of Indian Citizenship/Domicile Certificate (for Gujarat domicile)
  • Caste Certificate (if applicable, valid and issued by a competent authority)
  • Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) Certificate (for OBC candidates, issued after April 1, 2025)
  • Economically Weaker Section (EWS) Certificate (if applicable, issued after April 1, 2025)
  • Disability Certificate (for PwD candidates, issued by a recognized authority)
  • Passport-size photographs (matching those used in the NEET application)
  • Provisional Admission Letter/Payment Receipt of PIN purchase
  • Any other documents specified by ACPUGMEC in their official brochure.

What Comes Next in Gujarat Counselling:

  • Merit List Publication: After the document verification concludes today, the ACPUGMEC will prepare and release the state merit list for MBBS/BDS admissions based on NEET UG 2025 ranks among the verified candidates.
  • Choice Filling and Locking: Eligible candidates will then be invited to participate in the online choice filling process, where they will select their preferred medical colleges and courses in order of priority. This is a critical stage where careful consideration of previous year's cutoffs and personal preferences is advised.
  • Seat Allotment: Based on the merit list, choices filled, and seat availability, ACPUGMEC will conduct seat allotment rounds.
  • Reporting to Allotted Colleges: Candidates who are allotted a seat will need to download their allotment letter and report to the respective medical or dental college for final admission formalities, document verification, and tuition fee payment.

Staying updated with official notifications on medadmgujarat.org or medadmgujarat.ncode.in is highly recommended for all medical aspirants involved in the Gujarat counselling process.

Conclusion:

Today, July 21, 2025, marks a pivotal moment for medical aspirants seeking admissions in Gujarat's medical colleges. With the document verification phase for Gujarat NEET UG Counselling 2025 concluding, candidates must ensure they have completed this crucial step to be included in the state merit list. This phase, combined with the ongoing MCC NEET UG Counselling 2025 Round 1 registrations, underscores the dynamic and time-sensitive nature of medical admissions across the country. Diligence and adherence to deadlines are key for all medical aspirants aiming to secure their academic future in the medical field.
