Today, August 8, 2025, marks the final day for eligible candidates to fill and lock their choices for Gujarat NEET UG 2025 Round 1 counselling. This is a crucial deadline for aspiring medical and dental students who wish to secure a seat in MBBS and BDS courses under the 85% state quota. As per the official schedule released by the Admission Committee for Professional Undergraduate Medical Courses (ACPUGMEC), the online choice-filling window will close at 4:00 PM today.

This is the last opportunity for registered candidates to submit their preferences for colleges and courses on the official website, medadmgujarat.org. The ACPUGMEC will also display the choices filled by candidates on the portal from 4:00 PM onwards, allowing them a final review. Failure to complete this process by the deadline will result in the candidate not being considered for seat allotment in this round.

Important Dates and Next Steps

The Gujarat NEET UG counselling process follows a structured timeline, and candidates must be aware of the upcoming events to ensure they don't miss any critical steps.

  • Choice-Filling and Display of Choices: The process concludes today, August 8, 2025.
  • Round 1 Seat Allotment Result: The much-awaited provisional seat allotment result for Round 1 is scheduled to be declared in the coming days. Candidates are advised to keep a close watch on the official website for the exact date and time.
  • Tuition Fee Payment: Following the seat allotment, candidates who are satisfied with their seats must pay the required tuition fees online to confirm their admission.
  • Reporting to Allotted College: After paying the fees, candidates must physically report to their respective colleges for document verification and final admission. This process will also be conducted within a specified timeframe, which will be announced along with the seat allotment result.

How to Fill and Lock Choices

To fill their choices, candidates must log in to the ACPUGMEC portal using their user ID, password, and the unique 14-digit PIN they received during registration. Aspirants can add, remove, or reorder their preferences for various government and private colleges and courses. It is highly recommended that candidates refer to the Round 1 seat matrix, which provides a detailed breakdown of available seats, to make informed decisions. After finalizing their preferences, they must lock their choices before the deadline. While the system will automatically lock choices if not done manually, it is always a good practice to do so oneself.

For a smooth admission process, candidates are advised to keep all necessary original documents ready for physical verification. These typically include the NEET UG Rank Card, 10th and 12th-grade mark sheets, a valid ID proof, and domicile/category certificates, if applicable. With the final day to submit choices here, aspirants must ensure they complete the process to remain in contention for a seat.
