Gujarat NEET MDS 2026 Revised Merit List Out; Round 2 Choice Filling Extended

The Admission Committee for Professional Postgraduate Medical Educational Courses (ACPPGMEC), Gujarat has released the revised provisional merit lists for MDS 2026 admissions. The updated lists were published on the official Gujarat postgraduate medical admission portal on September 22, 2026. ACPPGMEC has released separate provisional merit lists for General, SC, ST, SEBC, EWS and NRI candidates. An NRI report and a separate list of candidates found not eligible are also available. Candidates participating in Gujarat MDS Round 2 counselling should also note that the online choice-filling deadline has been extended. Choices can now be submitted until 10:00 AM on September 24, 2026.

Gujarat MDS Revised Merit List 2026: Key Highlights

Candidates should check the latest official notices before relying on any older downloaded list or counselling schedule.

Which Gujarat MDS Merit Lists Have Been Released?

The September 22 revised provisional merit-list section includes separate lists for the following categories:

• General
• Scheduled Caste
• Scheduled Tribe
• Socially and Educationally Backward Classes
• Economically Weaker Section
• NRI

The portal also provides an NRI Report and a separate Not Eligible Candidate List. Candidates should verify their merit position and category carefully before completing Round 2 choices.

Gujarat MDS Round 2 Choice Filling Extended to September 24

ACPPGMEC has extended the Round 2 MDS choice-filling period until 10:00 AM on September 24, 2026. Candidates who want to participate in the second-round allotment should complete their preference submission within the extended window. The choice-filling section is available through the MDS candidate login system on the Gujarat admission portal. Candidates should avoid waiting until the final minutes because the deadline is at 10:00 AM rather than at the end of September 24.

How to Check Gujarat MDS Revised Merit List 2026

Candidates can check the revised merit lists online through the official admission portal.

Gujarat MDS Round 2 Vacant Seat Information

Along with the choice-filling notice, ACPPGMEC has made Round 2 vacancy information available on the official portal.

The Round 2 section contains:

• vacant seats after Round 1 reporting;
• non-converted vacant seats under Government Quota;
• Management Quota seats;
• NRI seats;
• PwD quota information; and
• college fee details.
• Candidates should review the relevant vacancy information while deciding the order of college and MDS speciality preferences.

10. Candidates should complete the process before 10:00 AM on September 24, 2026.

What Should Candidates Check Before Finalising Choices?

Candidates should compare more than just the available-seat count.

Before submitting their choices, they should review:

• revised merit rank;
• applicable category;
• Round 2 vacancy information;
• MDS speciality preference;
• college preference;
• Government, Management or NRI quota eligibility;
• college fees;
• location;
• previous allotment status, if applicable; and
• willingness to join the seat if allotted.

Candidates should arrange choices according to their real preference rather than simply following the order in which colleges appear in the vacancy list.

Gujarat MDS NRI Merit List 2026

ACPPGMEC had earlier stated on September 18 that verification of candidates who applied under the NRI quota during Round 2 registration was in progress. The revised September 22 section now includes both a Provisional NRI Merit List and an NRI Report. Candidates applying under the NRI quota should therefore check the latest documents displayed on the portal rather than relying on the earlier verification notice.

Gujarat MDS Seat Conversion Rules: When Do They Apply?

Candidates should note an important distinction regarding quota conversion.

The current Round 2 information page lists the following conversion sequence:

1. vacant NRI seats may be converted to Management seats;
2. vacant Management seats may be converted to Government seats;
3. vacant institutional seats may be converted to the corresponding State category;
4. vacant reserved-category State seats may be converted to Open State seats; and
5. vacant PwD seats may be converted to State seats in the respective category.

However, the current ACPPGMEC Round 2 notice states that this procedure will be followed during the third-round allotment process. Candidates should therefore not assume that all of these quota conversions will occur during the present Round 2 allotment.

When Will Gujarat MDS Round 2 Result Be Released?

The current MDS portal confirms the extended choice-filling deadline, revised merit lists and Round 2 vacancy material.

Candidates should check the official portal for the next notice regarding:

• display of submitted choices;
• Round 2 seat allotment;
• fee payment;
• reporting; and
• admission confirmation.

Candidates should not rely on an unofficial Round 2 result date unless ACPPGMEC publishes or updates it on the portal.
