The Admission Committee for Professional Undergraduate Medical Educational Courses (ACPUGMEC), DME Gujarat, has commenced the crucial 4th Online Stray Vacancy Round for MBBS and BDS admissions. This is the final opportunity for eligible candidates to secure a seat in Government and Self-Financed medical and dental colleges for the 2025-26 academic year. The allotment result is out, and the reporting window is extremely tight, running from November 18 to November 20, 2025. Candidates must complete fee payment and original document submission strictly within this stipulated timeline to confirm their admission.

The intense journey of securing an undergraduate medical or dental seat in Gujarat is now at its final stage. The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Gujarat, acting through the Admission Committee for Professional Undergraduate Medical Educational Courses (ACPUGMEC), has officially announced the commencement of the Allotment and Reporting phase for the 4th Online Stray Vacancy Round for MBBS and BDS courses. This round, often termed the last opportunity, is critical for filling the remaining vacant seats in Government and Self-Financed Medical and Dental Colleges across the state for the academic session 2025-26.

The results of the seat allotment for this final round have been published on the official ACPUGMEC website, medadmgujarat.org. Aspirants who participated in the choice filling (which was recently extended until November 17, 2025) must check their allotment status immediately. The timeline for confirmation is extremely short, emphasising the urgent need for candidates to complete all admission formalities.

I. Critical Schedule and Admission Deadlines

The schedule for the 4th Online Stray Vacancy Round is highly compressed, and adherence to the deadlines for fee payment and physical reporting is non-negotiable. Missing any step will result in the automatic cancellation of the allotted seat.

  • Seat Allotment Result Declaration: The results for the 4th Online Stray Vacancy Round were published on November 17, 2025 (as per the schedule).
  • Online Payment of Tuition Fees: Candidates who have been successfully allotted a seat must pay the full tuition fee online between November 17, 2025, and November 19, 2025 (Up to 3:30 PM).
  • Offline Fee Payment (HDFC Bank): For candidates opting for offline payment, the tuition fees must be deposited at the designated HDFC Bank branches between November 18, 2025 (10:30 AM), and November 19, 2025 (3:30 PM), strictly during banking hours.
  • Reporting and Document Submission: The mandatory physical reporting and submission of all original documents at the designated Help Centre must be completed between November 18, 2025 (10:00 AM), and November 20, 2025 (4:00 PM).

Candidates must pay special attention to the dual payment option (online or designated bank branch) and ensure that the fee payment is completed before the physical reporting deadline.

II. Eligibility and Reporting Protocol for Allotted Candidates

The Stray Vacancy Round has specific rules, and only certain candidates are eligible for the allotment. Furthermore, strict protocols must be followed during the physical reporting phase to secure the admission.

  • Eligibility for Allotment:
    • The round is primarily for candidates included in the ACPUGMEC Merit List for Government and Management Seats.
    • Candidates who were already allotted and joined a seat in Round 3 are not eligible for this round.
    • The allotment is based solely on the choices filled during the stray round choice-filling window and the candidate's merit rank.
  • Mandatory Joining Clause: Unlike earlier rounds where candidates had a free exit option, joining the seat allotted during the Stray Vacancy Round is mandatory. Candidates who fail to join the allotted seat will forfeit their security deposit and will not be eligible to participate in any subsequent counselling rounds (if any).
  • Documents Required for Reporting: Aspirants must assemble a complete set of original documents, as failure to produce any essential document will lead to the cancellation of the allotment. The mandatory checklist includes:
    • NEET-UG 2025 Scorecard and Admit Card.
    • HSC (12th Standard) Marksheet and Passing Certificate.
    • SSC (10th Standard) Marksheet and Passing Certificate.
    • Domicile Certificate of Gujarat.
    • Relevant Category Certificate (SC/ST/SEBC/EWS) issued by the competent authority of Gujarat State.
    • Provisional Allotment Letter downloaded from the ACPUGMEC website.
    • Receipt of Fee Payment (online receipt or HDFC Bank Challan).

III. Maximising Chances in the Final Round

Although the choice filling is over, understanding the dynamics of the Stray Vacancy Round is essential for those who have received an allotment and those who may be planning for next year's counselling.

  • Finality of the Allotment: This round is an opportunity to fill seats that remained vacant after the Mop-Up round due to non-reporting, resignations, or newly added seats. Therefore, candidates should accept the allotment as this is the last chance for admission into the State Quota seats for the 2025-26 session.
  • Weeding Out Process: The allotment results are released after the Admission Committee receives the final 'weeding out' list from the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), New Delhi. This list removes candidates who secured and joined a seat in the All India Quota (AIQ) Stray Vacancy Round, thus making their state quota seats available for this final round. This process ensures only genuinely available seats are included.
  • Seat Matrix Transparency: The seats offered in this round come from the final updated seat matrix published by ACPUGMEC, covering both Government and Private/Management Quota seats in MBBS and BDS courses across the state. Aspirants are encouraged to cross-verify their allotted college/course details with the published final seat matrix.

Conclusion

The commencement of the Allotment and Reporting process for the 4th Online Stray Vacancy Round for MBBS and BDS admissions in Gujarat marks the culmination of the NEET UG 2025 counselling season. For the fortunate candidates who have secured an allotment, the next 48 hours are crucial. Timely payment of the tuition fee and meticulous submission of all original documents at the designated Help Centre by November 20, 2025 (4:00 PM) are the only steps remaining to realise their dream of becoming a medical or dental professional. Stay focused, verify your documents, and complete your admission process without delay.
