Goa Diploma Admissions 2026 Begin May 4; Forms Out Soon

The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Goa is now accepting applications for 2026. They will admit students for the first year of the Diploma course as well as for the second year through direct lateral entry in the coming period. Students who want to apply can get the forms from May 4 to May 13, 2026. The admission process includes various programs such as a diploma in engineering & technology, a diploma in pharmacy, and a diploma in hotel management & technology. All important details like eligibility criteria, merit list announcements, and other related information will be published on the official website, dte.goa.gov.in.

A prospectus with all the necessary information for the first year and for second-year lateral entry has been uploaded on the DTE website. Candidates are advised to check the official website regularly for any new updates or announcements. The admission form will be available at several designated centers to help students apply. The entire admission process will be carried out in stages as per the schedule. 

Designated Centres for Collecting Application Forms

Application forms for Goa Diploma Admissions 2026 can be collected and filled out at designated centers from May 4 to May 13, 2026. The Directorate of Technical Education, Porvorim, is one of the key designated centers for collecting and submitting applications. Government Polytechnic Bicholim has been designated as the center for candidates from North Goa. Government Polytechnic, Curchorem, serves as the designated center for candidates from the southern regions of Goa. Agnel Polytechnic, Verna, is another important designated center. The Institute of Shipbuilding Technology at Vasco has also been appointed as one of the centers for collecting forms.

Candidates are advised to visit their respective designated centers between the specified dates on any working day, which includes Monday to Friday. It is essential to submit the application forms before the deadline to be eligible for admission. Applicants are required to bring all necessary documents while filling and submitting the forms. The DTE Office and all other designated centers will offer assistance with the documents and the process of form submission. 

Eligibility and Admission Procedure

To be eligible for admission, a candidate must meet all the criteria listed in the Diploma Prospectus 2026. All the details about the eligibility requirements for different diploma courses are clearly mentioned in the prospectus. A student who has appeared for the Class 10 exam is eligible to apply for first-year diploma programs. Students who have completed HSSC, VOC, or ITI are eligible for second-year diploma programs through lateral entry. 

Admission is based on merit as outlined in the prospectus. After the candidates submit their applications, the Directorate of Technical Education will prepare merit lists based on their qualifications and marks. There will be multiple rounds of admissions for the available seats in different diploma courses. Candidates who are on the merit list must visit the assigned colleges or institutes to verify their documents and confirm their admission. The complete schedule for creating merit lists and conducting admissions will be published online on the DTE website.
